  1. Sorry to bump an old thread but I came across the same issue and this thread was the first match on a google search. Following the info here I was able to fix it by identifying and removing the driver for the USB Controller from the boot image. In my case the problem was an Intel N10/ICH7 Family USB Host Controller driver in a Viglen Omnino 4 PC. There was no full description of the fix so I thought I would add one: I booted up a working machine and found the name of the driver it was using in Windows. Then I went on to SCCM -> Software Library -> Operating Systems -> Boot Images Right click the boot image you are using and properties it. Go to the drivers tab and select the offending driver in the list and press the red X in the top corner. Once that's done it will ask you to update the boot image on distribution points. Say yes to this and wait for it to distribute. After that the WinPE should be working fine. Hope that helps anyone who discovers this the way I did. Thanks to the guys posting before for helping me out.
