Once your master iPad is ready, select Backup. Go to Blueprints and select Edit Blueprints.Click on New and highlight the new blueprint. Double click on the new blueprint and add the apps you had already installed on your master iPad. Go back to edit blueprints page. Go to Actions and select Prepare. Go to Actions and select Restore from Backup. Browse for the backup of your master iPad and click OK. Go to Actions and select Modify - Wallpaper (if you are have set up one already). Go to Actions and select Back Up. I haven’t tried without this option, but after applying this blueprint I would get an error message (see the image below), and I click Stop on the message and the iPad is successfully restored. I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work without it. I just don’t have time to test it out, the above steps are working fine for me. Your blueprint should look like this: I did not add a profile to the blueprint. After the iPad’s are restored, I would go to Actions - Add - Profiles. Same blueprint can be used on different iPads. I did try on iPad 2, iPad Air and iPad 4.

Can you to the initial setup with Meraki? Last week or two I've registered with Meraki and want to give it a go. yeah, that is the beauty of new AC one less headache with passcodes and all different 'weird' wallpapers Cheers

donkeymusic, why would you go to AC2 if you have Meraki setup already? Profiles settings are same in AC2 and Meraki, no difference. If you're interested in AC2, then go back one page, and you will find some useful information on AC2. Just did an other iPad this morning with AC2.1 and everything works great. Cheers

I would disagree with this! It actually gives you the option (at least I get it) to 'Skip'. AC2.1 has fixed the issue with wifi password. With AC2 I couldn't type in the password, but since updated to 2.1 is all good now. I have to say, the AC2.1 works great for me (for now). If processing iPads via AC2/2.1, yes you'll loose connections for some time, but they do come back and are visible in AC. Appse are NOT stored on Mac device anymore, it will redownload every time. If you follow the steps below, at least it won't redownload iOS every time. Quick guide: 0. In AC2.1, log in with your apple ID. 1. Prepare your 'master' iPad to be supervised. 2. Create new profile, with your wifi settings info. 3. Create new blueprint 4. Double click on your created blueprint to edit. 4.1 - Add apps (through your blueprint) 4.2 - Add profile (through your blueprint) 4.3 - Select Done 5. Apply your blueprint (with apps/profile) to your 'master' iPad 6. When finished, create folders on your 'master' iPad. 7. When done setting up your 'master' iPad, 8. Select your blueprint, right click on your blueprint, Apply - Backup (this will backup your 'master' iPad with all setting onto your blueprint. 9. Apply ONLY your blueprint to other iPads, as this blueprint will have, apps, profile and image of your 'master' iPad. 10. Before anybody starts doing anything, PLEASE read these steps again Cheers

Not sure regarding the font size. Yes, but the backup has to be done onto your blueprint, and then you apply the same blueprint to other iPads.

I'll have to disagree regarding profiles. In ac2 you can disable passcode, change of wallpaper. Couldn't do this in ac1.x. we don't have mdm.

Guys, finally got it working this morning!!! Thanks to StealthBlue10 on apple forum. I've used my 'master' supervised iPad, with profiles, apps, folders, wallpaper settings...just the way I want to have. In blueprints, select the blueprint (with added apps and profile/s), right click, and run the backup of your 'master' iPad to your blueprint. Connect other iPads, select them all and apply the same blueprint (with the backup), to all iPads. You'll be asked to restore the iPads, say yes to this, and then you will be asked to prepare your iPads to supervise them, select yes. When everything is finished, you should have all your iPads look exactly the same as your 'master' iPad, and the best thing of all, they are all supervised When devices are finished, I get some error message (16346) on my AC2 screen. In case if you can't get the AC1.x running properly on 10.11, you can always try to go back to Yosemite and the run the AC1.x. As I've mentioned in my previous post below, I don't have any issues running Ac1.x on 10.11.

After how many hours on last Friday evening, finally finished applying the restore from 'master' iPad backup. I was very disappointed! It finished restoring, but did not apply any apps and profile. Fair enough, apps/profile runs through blueprints now. At least I've got the correct wallpaper and iPad name This morning I've tried applying the blueprint (with apps and profile), and apps did install properly but profile couldn't because the iPad is not supervised! To supervise an iPad, it will erase everything and redownload the iOS! What is the point of having backup of supervised iPad if, the same supervison/backup cannot be applied to other iPads. To apply supervision to 30 iPads, means I have to go to each iPad and go through following steps: 1. Go through all iOS setup settings from iPad's welcome screen. 2. Move wanted app icons on the toolbar and recreate folders These steps takes time and makes the AC2 very unreliable and unfriendly. With Ac1.x, I had to only setup everything that was mention above on one iPad, and apply all these changes (apps, profile, wallpaper, wifi...) with only one click. I have sent feedback to AC2, but one couldn't fit, so I'll have to continue writing back to them again. I did not have any issues using AC1.x with iOS 9.0.2. I haven't tried yet with 9.1, but will soon, as I do give up with AC2.

I've created blueprint, profile and backup with preinstalled apps with vpp account with one 'master' iPad. Just applying the 'master' backup to restore to an other iPad, and the AC2 downloads the latest iOS 9.0.2 AGAIN!!! In AC1.x when 'master' backup is created, it applies to all other iPads without downloading iOS to each iPad. Definitely AC2 needs to be fixed. Will keep you updated, once this iPad is finished.

How can you use your vpp account to login onto iTunes? iTunes doesn't allow you to log in, it detects that is the vpp account. btw iTunes has nothing to do with the AC2. If your iMac/MacBook is connected wirelessly, then you'll get this error message. It happened to me as well. I disable wifi, connect network cable and it applies any changes to iPads via AC2 without any errors. Cheers Zoran
