If you have Motorola walkie-talkies (DP 3601 or P185) they have a software which can be patch between the Mitel box and the walkie-talkies.

r u gonna put the disk in RAID 1 ? if so you will end up only with 300GB. Windows 2008 and updates takes loads of space in long run.
-
Go for more disk with 15000 RPM.

it's direct attached storage. iscsi storage doesn't use iscsi cables!! What I could do is Connect the MD3000 to dell 1950 or any other server then install openfiler O/S and creat iscsi lun's.

I’m currently working on a project to setup DR site. Let me explain you the current setup. Dell R710,SAN and VMWare 4.0 most of the servers are VM. Option 1. 3rd Party Company will fix a appliance on site, first full image of the serves is pushed to their data centre, after that only the changes are synced with data centre image. In the event of DR 3rd party company will switch the server on, few DNS changes , VPN fail over server will be up and running with in 30 min there SLA is 1 hour. Option2. Buy Rack Space (Colo) in some data centre fix our own hardware (we have loads of serves with warranty and support). Take a image of the current server sysprep change name,etc... install replication software for fail over or build the server in new location use application level replication for SQL and Exchange using Double take or similar software and install Cisco or some secure VPN connection back to site. Personally i like the option 2 as there is more control over what i can do and in future i can buy more space and install Virtual desktop and on the event of whole site disaster we can still connect to virtual desktop. Please let me know if any of you have implemented similar solution or any guidance will be much appreciated. I'm planning on doing a Project diary as well. :)

Burgemaster, How upgrade 1950 from 2003 to Openfiler make the MD3000 as a iSCSI box then connect all the 2950 to iSCSI box.I would install 2008 core on the local HDD and VM's in iSCSI box. I'm more of a VMWare guy put i'm sure you can do the same with Hyper-V. ESXi_2008

I am in a really I don’t know what to do situation. Last year we bought two Digital Signage solution, after two weeks we decided we need TV card in one of the box so I rang the supplier and they send me a quote but I didn’t have enough money in the budget so I postpone the upgrade, few weeks back I rang the supplier again and check if the quote is valid and it was valid so shipped the box, but now the supplier is saying its not upgradable so what can I do??
