  1. I've used iSpring, it's pretty good most of the time, though some of the more sizable PP's that I was presented with seemed to lose some of the animations/sounds. There is a free iSpring as I remember, Free PowerPoint to Flash Converter | Why iSpring PowerPoint to Flash Freeware? just click the free download link on the right hand side of the page. There's also Authorpoint lite, Free PowerPoint to Flash Converter | PPS, PPT to SWF | authorPOINT Lite which is different to iSpring in that there's a LOT more files to upload, but there's a free version too.
  2. Amazing what can happen when you turn your back for a few weeks/months isn't it? I've bought a (small) number of custom PC's from SclOnline including my quad core currently simmering quietly beside me. Now, some months down the line, all the contacts I had with them have moved on, the phone was answered by someone who had no idea how to answer my question (Who's my rep now please?) and send an email to sales. Why? I wanted an answer and am now looking elsewhere for the next round of setup and supply to staff for home PC's. Shame that after a week they still haven't replied to my email/request for quotes. Can't wait forever.
  3. I don't like IJT for the same reasons as have been previously mentioned. They refuse to stop flooding me with emails after they have been told time and time again to cease and desist emailing/ringing us as we will no longer deal with them following their threat to take ME to court for the school not making payment during the summer holidays. After that, school decided that we did not wish to be associated with such a firm at all. BUT their downright annoying sales reps continue to spam me with emails, the office with cold calls and refuse to take any notice that they must no longer ring us as they are now unapproved suppliers. Quality of HP cartridges however have been fine, but I'll be buying elsewhere in the future. One thing I don't like about CPLtd (sorry Simon) is that to even see what products you list, I have to register which gives you my email without my even knowing what you offer, never mind prices, so I regret that I doubt I'll be a customer of yours anytime soon. Apologies.
  4. Bangs head on nearby wall! Sorry, meant "Intel Core 2 Duo E7200" Doh!
  5. I got one of the SCLonline booklets earlier this year and being bored at the time, actually read it all the way through (look, I said I was bored, should get out more I know, I know) and spotted the little "Tell us what you have or may want in ICT and we'll send you a free pen drive". SO I did, and they did. Since then, not had the need for much in the way of desktops but last week the school secretary asked for my recommendation for a new PC for her. I browsed a couple of sites and got a few prices for her, then emailed Dan at SCLonline, with what I thought was a good spec machine for her. Dan got back to me a day or so later with his price for the machine! Jaw hit the floor at the price offered! We placed the order on the Wednesday, machine would be with us by this Monday/Tuesday. It arrived Friday and I spent a good part of Saturday setting it up for her. I have to say that my school will sooner or later be replacing our ICT suite, machines and server. It's always a scary time and we may end up doing a deal with RM again....... BUT having seen the build quality of the SCL machine, at the price as well (£400). The machine is a Pentium 2 Dual Core, it runs so fast a fun Messenger add on is nearly invisible! The machine is so solid and heavy the build is fantastic. I have NO reservation whatsoever in recommending to my school that we consider SCLonline for replacing our machines in due course. Having seen what this machine looks like, and how fast it runs, I then went and asked for a price on a Quad Core for myself! It's coming up at 60% of an Ev#sh#m I bought 18 months ago, and 250% better machine. Can't wait for the price to come though tomorrow.
