Have you tried putting the folder name (with space) inside quotes?

I'm migrating from one exchange 2010 to another 2010 system and have migrated the mailboxes but I can't seem to migrate the public folder contents or delete the old public folder. I'm getting an error that states that a public folder is the default folder for a mailbox that is no longer attached to either of the systems.
