This role is based at St Anne’s Academy, Middleton and is key in supporting effective ICT across the school, maintaining hardware and software for teaching and learning under the guidance of the school’s ICT lead and as part of the ICT team of the Cranmer Education Trust. This role is critical in supporting St. Anne’s Academy’s priority: progress for all our students. This role needs specific experience, which is outlined in the Person Specification and will suit candidates with experience who are keen to further develop and learn, with a positive and proactive approach to work. The school specific infrastructure may be something the successful candidate will need to learn, but already having strong and relevant technical ICT experience, this should not be a problem. Applicants must be willing and able to complete specific training for the systems the school uses. The successful candidate will be extremely well supported as part of an expanding and skilled team of ICT specialists. The Team is growing. This is a varied role which involves maintaining hardware and software used by pupils and staff, as well as providing technical ICT support for teaching and learning, ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times. You will also record the issues identified and the steps taken to resolve them, therefore good administration skills are necessary. We require someone who can develop excellent working relations with all staff, requiring exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You should have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in ICT or related subject, be experienced in diagnosing and correcting straightforward ICT faults, be technically proficient in Microsoft software, and have experience of installing, configuring and testing ICT equipment and software.
