  1. Yeah that's what I feared. Unfortunately we're not in a position to communicate with all of the users of our app that they may need to update or uninstall that software. In fact, some teachers aren't even able to sign up when they're using SmartInk, and we're likely only hearing from a small portion of the users who are having trouble. This is especially troubling because there's a higher likelihood that users of our app specifically will have SmartInk running. Bit of a catch-22. We're in the process of trying to reach out to Smart and also looking at any hacky solutions we can come up with to combat the issue (such as detecting when SmartInk injects stuff into the page and removing it).
  2. Hi, did anyone make any progress on this? I work for an educational brain break company (GoNoodle) and we've had a bunch of teachers report issues with the page being scrolled down, not being able to type in inputs, etc. We are now able to reproduce the problem using a Windows 8 laptop and a Smart board, running SmartInk. We've actually narrowed down the problem to the fact that SmartInk inserts an additional body tag as well as a hidden form input that acts as an interceptor between what you type and Internet Explorer. Unfortunately the implementation of that input is entirely broken. I've reached out to Smart but so far have only gotten automated responses that aren't helpful. I know one "solution" is to uninstall or at least disable SmartInk, but I'm not trying to solve this problem for just us, I'm trying to figure out a solution for 100s of our users, spread out across several continents. Definitely a bummer!
