  1. Apologies, I neglected to return and thank you for the insight!
  2. Sounds better already! Do you issue your day supply with laptops / access to SIMs etc?
  3. Hi all, At my school we largely rely on heads of departments setting cover work and positioning it in the relevant rooms. For longer term supply / those issued with laptops, the work/lesson is emailed directly. I'm interested to hear how other schools manage this to hopefully refine our own system as it's rather reliant on people physically moving work around! TIA Pipz
  4. I've been ordering on a Wednesday and receive them by Sunday / Monday morning ready for pushing out to parents directly. Initially I opted for the CSV upload but then (whilst I could see the order was fulfilled) there was a lag between that status change and the codes actually being sent to the parents by Edenred. As such, I opted for E-codes as I could check individual serials for redemption, be fully aware of when they were sent to parents and better able to answer questions / re-issue the relevant E-code if the parent didn't receive etc. It also gave me codes that I could function test on the redemption site(esp in light of recent failures 27/28 Apr) - all seems to be running more smoothly (touch wood) currently.
  5. Hi all, We're currently shifting to a more consolidated printing provision (much fewer A4 devices, more A3 MFDs) at our single site and as such I wanted to poll the forum for experiences on reliability, service provision, cost per copy etc in order of what you have in place at your establishments. Stay Safe.

    Ever6 FSM

Many thanks - yep, I'd tried that but to no avail - to get the data more quickly I effected a manual check :') Thanks for the observation - the time is also reflective of when an FSM co-ord left and another took over so there is potential that "house-keeping" may have had an effect as well as natural drop off!

    Ever6 FSM

Good morning all! I'm seeing a substantial drop in ever 6 (110 between 19 and 20) whilst FSM numbers have actually increased - I've tried to run a Report to identify those FSM End dates that would drop off after 6 years but SIms isn't populating the end date in the report (despite data being in the relevant field!) Anyone else seeing the same trends? TIA Pipz
  8. Apologies - Secondary - and thank you!
  9. Thank you for that. Completion thus far: 1. Create the new academic year 2. Set up the pastoral structure for the new academic year + Pastoral promotion mapping 3. Add intake and admission groups 4. Import Admissions and Transfer Files 5. Change the status of applications (marked as admitted - noted from reading around that this is debatable practice). 6. Transfer the curriculum and timetable to SQL 7. Apply the timetable to the new academic year
  10. I believe so? First time so my terminology may well be wildly inaccurate!
  11. Greetings all! As above, no one around to give a comprehensive guide at the school due to the holidays / no one else knowing! I've been piecing elements together from online resources about the process (http://simspublications.com/968574/assets/eoysecdetailed.pdf) - I'm still slightly in the dark as to whether there is a big "Rollover" button to push once all prep is complete or if it just naturally occurs due to the passage of time! Any information / advise would be very much appreciated. Pipz
  12. Thanks very much to all for the posts - it's much appreciated! Forgive me for returning to the thread late - current analysis has Live Register ahead on costs, NRS 2nd (just) and Cunningham's 3rd (due to on-going maintenance pushing it back). Reassuring to see that both those two front runners have positive reports regarding use - it might well be easier to go with Live register as the caterers prefer it and it doesn't make much difference to me which system I learn to administrate. I'm just mainly concerned about reliability (software/hardware) and cost - hope that's not too short sighted! I expect the replies will be mixed but have many issues presented in your respective school when rolling out biometrics? My favoured method is Biometrics with a PIN for those who do not wish to register in this way.
  13. Morning all, Apologies if this in the wrong please but I thought I'd ask about others experiences. We currently have our trip payments online via Schoolcomms and are now looking to expand the cashless initiative to include meals. NRS, Cunninghams and Live Register are 3 providers currently under review. I just wondered if anyone had any experience with the above (our caterer prefers Live Register and Schoolcomms prefer NRS) as far as implementation, on going use and costs and anything else you might be able to think of so that I can create a cunning plan to best handle this transition. Thanks in advance! Pipz
  14. Thank you - our data manager tried this to no avail - the timetabled periods match up just fine it's only the Reg groups causing issue if that helps.
  15. Hi all, Posting as an unusual occurrence has occurred! I manage cover and the diary has blipped and shows Friday Reg Periods for today. From what I know: We had an training day on Friday so school was closed. The Registration groups have been created as pastoral structures. Any thoughts on how I get things back into line?

    Online payments

Thanks very much, I'll have a look at WisePay. I'd be eager to hear from anyone who uses Schoolcomms as out of the three mentioned above that would seem to be the easiest to integrate.
  17. Hi all, My school is considering implementing the above - just for trips for now - possibly for cashless catering in the future, currently the contenders are: Parentpay (used throughout the borough) Parentmail Schoolcomms (currently used for comms purposes) I've had a read around and gleaned some useful information about the platforms, I just wanted to create my own thread for people to post up any comments/experiences they've had. Thanks in advance
