  1. Hi qwerty94 1. Yes, we asked them to login to iSAMS parent portal first, and then redirect them to CHQ with SSO enabled. 2. I think, there might be where the issues are as parent ticked with the "home address" that their email address is different to the one that use for registering with the parent portal as the result CHQ fails to validate the account, subsequently link with the student profile in CHQ in order to grant SSO. I am not 100% sure but this what I have gathered from Oliver of CHQ. it seems that we will have to contact all parents who have a different email address as their portal username and change it for them Thanks Ken Thanks Ken
  2. I have checked with Rae (Integration Manager of iSAMS) that have rolled out a fix to force parent to use the same email as they receive the invitation for parent portal registration for their username. however, when I asked more when it was rolled out and how it works he has just gone silence. it would have been mush easier if it forces parents to use the same email kept in iSAMS. I think we will have to do the same, just to make sure the email they have in iSAMS same as the one they use to login to parent portal. Thanks Ken
  3. Hi TechMonkey, Did you adjust the parent login name or the email originally kept in iSAMS? Thanks Ken
  4. Thanks Qwerty94, I have had a quite a few back and forward threads with Oliver, but he was saying that it is iSAMS unable to pass the subject ID and person ID over. it is because the parent are using a different email address than the one kept in iSAMS to register a parent portal account. basically, if I understand it correctly, Oliver were saying because of that CHQ is unable to validate the person match it with the correct student profiles. it would have been easier if we were told earlier that parent must use the same email as they receive the parent portal account invitation to complete the registration but it is too late. We have generated some report and identified that more than 100+ families that are using a different email address, and some have reported that they are unable to SSO to CHQ through iSAMS We just would like know have you encountered this issue? if so what is your workaround? or did you ask parent to register parent portal with the same email address as they have in iSAMS from the beginning? Any advices or suggestions would be grateful received. Thanks Ken
  5. Hi Just would like to see if anyone has experiences of implementing iSAMS CHQ SSO? We had iSAMS rolled out last summer and CHQ claimed that user could channel through iSAMS to login to CHQ, it was working fine until recently we have realised that some parents have used a different email address to complete their iSAMS parent portal registration as result CHQ validation fails because parent's data don't match with what it is in CHQ. Please any experience sharing and suggested solution would be much appreciated. because now it is affecting over 100+ families Thanks Ken

  9. Thanks for the info May I know, Are you self hosted SLG school? We have once considered to implement Azure for password reset/retrieve, and then checked with Capita whether it would be compatible with SLG. they said no. so now we are looking for other option. thanks Ken
  10. I would love to.. but if the parents are given this option, we will receive more than hundreds call during report release time. so the man power involved would justify the cost of subscribing this kind of tools which facilities them to reset/retrieve password
  11. Hi Any knows, does SIMS/Partner Company have a fundraising module? thanks Ken
  12. Hi We are a self hosted SLG school, and are told that we need to take care of password reset/retrieve function of our own whereas if hosted by Capita which is taken care of. Any suggestion on what application that would provide the password reset/retrieve function and timeout feature which is compaitable with SLG/SharePoint is greatly appreciated. thanks Ken
  13. Hi Anyone can share experiences on SharePoint in SLG. How does it works? Is it like a CMS which allows to change the content? Much appreciated with any thoughts and sharing Thanks K
  14. Hi, Is it SIMS integrated? had a quick glance, doesn't seem to have the admission modules? would you mind to PM me what international you are work for, just want to get a sense how the admission module would look like. thanks K
  15. Hi all, We are an international in the far east, and every year we have to manually process thousands of application form which involves updating applicant's contact info as they usually apply before arriving the country. I know there is in SIMS there is a module called SIMS Registrations and Admissions. I would like to gather some thoughts or perhaps experiences sharing on this module whether is worth for investing? thanks K
  16. Hi all, We are currently exploring the option of acquiring Learning Gateway. At present, our SIMS users are only able to connect to SIMS within the campus and also as some user uses Mac who has to connect to SIMS through Remote Desktop, which is really the pain! I've learnt Learning Gateway could possibly be the solution. however, there are couple more issues that we are facing hopefully someone could share their experiences of SLG. Does SLG allow parent to online contact info? can we customise the contact info form to collect data? does it directly feed into SIMS DB? Group email - At present, teacher has to manually compose their distribution list to email his student and parents of his student. Does SLG offer the automation process or teacher can extract the teaching group he wishes to email to? Frog is place serving as parent portal. How much features and functions overlapping between the two systems? The weaknesses of SLG? there is no perfect fit, I would like to know what are the major downside of SLG. I have arranged demo with capita next week, I am sure they would only show me the good side, but if we decide to acquire this module I would like to know what I am facing and manage the user expectation accordingly. Much appreciated any thoughts Ken
