Hi Andrew, We are still rocking Opendium UTM and the web filtering solution. Still echoing my thoughts in the previous post I created. I don't really get to speak to the gents much these days as it runs so smoothly. Would still highly recommend them for use in your network, still offering a big thumbs up from us!

Lightspeed and Hotspot Shield

I just tested it again on our network and it's still blocked for us. The fix that Opendium implemented has worked even after they updated their URLs. 10 Points to Mr. Hill! -
Web Filtering, what to go for?

We use a product called Iceni by Opendium. It is a great product, it has great support and most importantly a great price. Definitely worth a look if you're considering switching! -
We use Iceni here also. Would definitely recommend them if you are considering switching or breaking away from your council provided filtering system. The reports are great, I have a top ten all round report that is automated to run every evening. This gives various stats such as most data heavy users, most accessed website, most blocked website attempted to access, etc. The amount of data from these reports is amazing. Also being able to go back and run a quick report on a user's internet activity can be exceptionally handy if an incident has occurred and one needs to trace breadcrumbs. Their support is also fantastic, when you call up you get straight through to the gentlemen that make/maintain the product. So generally I would say nearly every time I call them with an issue, it pretty much gets resolved there and then. On the rare times it doesn't the gents have in the past made custom fixes for us. They are also very competitive on price compared to their competition out there! As I said above, definitely a big thumbs up from us

Has anyone had any success with injecting unsigned HP inf files into WDS on server 2012 R2? I've tried using the GUI in WDS but it errors, I presume this is due to them being unsigned? I've also tried doing the dism cmd syntax with /forceunsigned at the end. This errors as well. Am I doing something silly or do HP drivers require some magic wizardry?

We use a product called Iceni by a company called Opendium. Definitely worth inspecting if you are thinking of swapping. They are cheaper than other companies out there and their support is fantastic. We've had some custom fixes for us in the past which they made specially for us.

You should check out Iceni by Opendium. They are very cheap compared to the alternatives out there and their support is fantastic. When you call up with an issue/query you get right through to the people that make the product. I would say that 9/10 we get the issue/query resolved and if not they will tailor make a fix for us to apply to our filter/firewall Definitely worth a look if you are considering switching!

As the title says.... Is anyone brave enough to jump both feet in at the deep end or planning on waiting for the inevitable bugs to be fixed?

We use a product called Iceni (created by a company called Opendium) for our filtering. Using this we can run reports of internet logs for an IP address or username whenever we want. They also have word cloud reports that show searched for terms in different categories. They are very competitive on prices compared to other web filters out there and their support is fantastic. They have done custom fixes specifically for our needs. Well worth a look if anyone is thinking of jumping ship from their LEA or current filtering solution.

Has anyone applied the update yet?

So if you're using RADIUS you should be able to work out which user is on which device then?

Use a WPA2 enterprise SSID

We use the reports in our internet filter/firewall (we use Iceni made by a company called opendium), these reports can be automated for a daily report. As this is done by username, it doesn't matter if they use a BYOD or a domain machine. The report will show the activity for any user account that has viewed questionable content. Here is a video showing the report -

We use a package called Iceni. It is from a company called Opendium, they are very cheap compared to other products (so great for dwindling budgets!), the support is fantastic as well. When you call up the support line you get to speak directly to the people who maintain the product. There are no support tokens, it is just a set price for unlimited support calls. I would say 9/10 we get a instant resolution and the times we don't, the chaps at the other end usually get back to use in a hour or so with a patch or settings alteration.
