Backup

Hi, I am currently in the process of looking at a new Web Filter for the school. We currently use SonicWall Firewalls and I am not sure if the Web Filtering is up to the job. Can anyone comment the SonicWall Web Filter? If we go for a stand alone it will be Barracuda but I want to ensure I am not spending money if the SonicWall will meet PREVENT etc...

Hi All, We currently use BLOXX web filter and will be keeping this until our contract runs out in 2018. However, our firewall is due for replacement I we are thinking of going with Fortinet, does anyone have any experience of the two solutions working together?

Hi Again, If you are just looking for email storage you don't need a backup solution necessarily. As i said before we use Barracuda backup for our data but not for emails. We use Barracuda Message archiver for this as it is designed just for email and allows easy access and is linked to AD groups. We use Barracuda and for one of our sites we use the cloud service as there is no hardware needed. We also looked at sonicwall but we didn't need the firewall capability - happy to pass you the details of our account manager if you want.

Hi, we have just changed Web Filter to Barracuda - A guy called Joe Burke is our account manager and he showed us demos for sonicwall and iboss but we went with Barracuda because their is no per user fees. PM me for his details don't want to just give them out. p.s we used Smoothwall before and had some issues with support
