We've had a few formatter boards go in our P series printers, it is a problem across the range. Shame really because otherwise (IMO) they are cracking printers. A few sources on the 'net reckon this is due to the lead free solder that is used nowadays. People have reported good results from popping the formatter board in a hot oven for around 8 minutes I'm going to try it on one a bad 3005 formatter board we have when I get some spare time. I found the formatter boards are often close to the price of a new printer so I keep my eyes open on eBay and such for spares. I think the last fully working 3005 printer I got was around £90 and came with a genuine 51X toner! If you create a DHCP reservation and pointer for the 2015s you will avoid the problem of lost config(s). HTH

Have just deleted and re-created the website with the tick removed and that is indeed working. Thanks Ideally I would have liked staff being able to access the status page anonymously, but it's no problem;l I'm guessing I can re-install v1.2 alongside it with a different name, for staff to access anonymously

Been playing a little more. I can add servers to the database and they save. When I go back to the "home screen" I get the spinning circle as it's checking and then it just disappears. I'm guessing there should be a green tick there like in the screenshot(s)? The bottom image (shortcut to admin area) shows up fine so I don't think it's permissions on the images folder this time? Cheers Dave

I gave guest account write in IIS manager at time of install, as per install guide and also checked NTFS permissions on the database itself and internet guest account is definitely there with write permissions. - Edit, sorry my bad; Internet Guest had Allow (which I had set) and Deny, deny was inherited from parent folder. Removed the inheritable permissions and that has sorted it Cheers Dave

OK, I can get into the admin web i/face to the "add item" popup, but when I fill in the details and click "add item", nothing seems to happen. The dialog box doesn't disappear. The only thing I didn't do in the install guide was untick the "allow anonymous access" thinking that it would allow staff to see the status of servers etc without a need for login, after all the back-end is password protected anyway? Thanks again. Dave

Any ideas on system requirements for this ICTNUT? I was running the older version on an old dell rack server (850mhz celeron, 512 ram) and it ran perfectly fine. I've done a fresh install of this, but as soon as I try to access ether front end or back end, CPU rockets up to 100% and stays there. thanks in advance.

Add existing navigation to a content item?
Big_Dave replied to Big_Dave's topic in EduGeek Joomla 1.0 Package
13 Minutes! Must be a world record. Ta very muchly. :drinkers: I'd have never found that hiding away, lol Cheers Big Dave -
Hi Guys. First post here go easy on me I've been playing around with the EduGeek Joomla package on one of our servers, it's great. Well done to all involved. I do however, have one problem / question that has been bugging me since I got in this morning. In the Joomla installation under the Curriculum Menu, when I click on one of your existing links, (Art, for example) the page opens with the curriculum menu still attached. I have tried adding new content in the appropriate place, linked in to the existing making sure all options are set the same for the new content that I am adding (so it does appear in the Curriculum Menu itself), but I have no "Curriculum Menu" attached to these new content items once I click on them. In the drop down box, it is set to "parent window with navigation" If you're still unsure what I'm blathering on about, you will see in the images below: http://www.carrhillschool.com/menu.JPG http://www.carrhillschool.com/nomenu.JPG I have had a browse around the "Curriculum Menu" options also, but have not found anything that sounds like it will add this on for me. Please tell me I have missed something blatantly obvious  Thanks in advance, Big Dave
