Hi - does anyone know how to configure the thresholds for the Cumulative Achievements in SIMS? Every student (under their Behaviour Management window) has this: I just have no idea how to configure the Cumulative Achievements! Thanks

In the Pastoral Structure in SIMS, you can set up Registration groups (with supervisors) and allocate a Room to each registration group. Is there a way using the SIMS Report Designer / command line reporter to generate a report of all Registration Groups (with associated supervisors) AND the rooms? I've been playing around for hours and can't pull the Rooms out through the report.... any suggestions? Thanks

I'm all sorted now thanks. I exported all the Aspects I was after with a Grade_Value and Grade_Set_History_ID I exported all the Grade Sets with Grade, Value, and Grade_History_ID Then INNER JOINED the two with external code to map back to the initial Grades entered by teachers on the system. (for anyone else reading this in the future, you will also need to export and map in both reports the Grade_Order if you are doing Fine Grade reporting - i.e a B1, B2, B3 each carrying the same grade value...)

'If you only have a points value, a report won't be able to do the lookup for you, even if you found the list of possible values in the gradeset, unless you hard coded it, and added some programming.' Are you refering to the issue where a Grade only has a boundry values associated with it - therefore you would need programming to deduce where the value lies in the grade boundries?

OK I found a Focus Area called GradeSet History buried away that looks promising....

Hi, I am trying to write a report in SIMS to get out a specified Gradeset Grade-Value lookup table for a given Gradeset Name. (i.e if a student has a result of 21 which is linked to a Gradeset Name of 'KS5 Attainment' - how do I know whether 21 is a B grade, A Grade etc....) I've tried using the Focus Area of Assessment manager > Gradeset, however this only allows me to get out a list of all the Gradeset names. Am I using the wrong focus area? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. So that does show me non-class codes... But how do I access non-class codes using Reports > Design? I wish to return a list of Staff with period with non-class code such as PPA RATHER then a timetable view.... Thanks

Hi, Anyone know where on earth in SIMS Report Design you can find the field/area/focus that stores non-teaching periods (e.g PPA, DUTYs etc...)? I have no issues writing a report to get out all periods taught by all teachers, however it omits non-teaching periods. I'm guessing I'll need a separate query for that.... I think I have looked through most focuses of the report design and can't find anything!!!! Arg!!! Any ideas? Thanks
