This is the same job but going into a bit more detail; Excellent customer service orientated Support technician/helpdesk officer is required to provide 2nd line support to schools. You will be responsible for providing a high level of telephone, internet and off site support for cutting edge communication software products used in schools and colleges across the UK. The company is an award winning, market leader with ISO accredited. They are a very well established growing company with their software in thousands of schools. Your key responsibilities will be to: provide client technical support, provide remote installation configuration and set-up services, provide remote training services and support administration. You will need experience of using desktop/server computing, database technologies, internet/cloud base application, mobile apps and internet securities. It is also an advantage to have Microsoft.Net product set, web creation tools, web hosting technologies, ITIL/PRINCE2 methodology, communication technologies and strong commercial/negotiating skills; capable of building relationships. You will be required to work individually and in a team to deal with all levels of support. -
IT Technician High Wycombe We are currently recruiting for a permanent IT Technician, for a large school in the High Wycombe area. the school has an outstanding Ofsted report and excellent facilities. You will be working closely with the IT manager and be reporting directly to them. the purpose of the role is to provide IT support through a help desk and to participate in the delivery of training and development opportunities for IT users. You duties and responsibilities will include; providing technical support and implement changes, to participate in the delivery of an effective ICT helpdesk, support other appropriate technician level staff across the school, to respond quickly and effectively to level one IT support queries, also to provide effective support to the teachers and pupils using mobile devices and wireless Wi-Fi system. Also to maintain the IT documentation for the schools network, to work as part of a team to maintain, repair and clean computers. We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician for a large independent school in Central South West London. The school offers a warm welcome to all its staff, pupils and visitors with it developing and increasing in size, excellent results have been achieved at the school and it has an outstanding Ofsted report. Your role as ICT Support Technician will be to resolve technical issues with the schools Macs and PC’S, a large majority of the schools computing system is Mac which includes Mac OSX, IMACS, Ipads and MacBook’s . You will be required to provide advice and staff training when necessary, answer and respond to incoming support requests made by phone and email. You will need to ensure that all technical records are kept up to date, install hardware and software installations and configurations, repair whiteboards and smart boards, keep projectors up to date in good condition and maintain support and expand the network. You will also be required to keep up to date with knowledge of Apple and Windows operating systems. It will be useful if you have experience of using these technologies windows 7 desktop and server 2008/2012, SIMS and active directory, DNS etc. You will be reporting to the Head of Seniors and IT Manager. It is essential that you have some commercial experience in a technical support role ideally within a school or college and good interpersonal skills and to be a team player are required in order to apply for this role. We are currently recruiting for an Exams and Assessment Administrator to support the SIMS Data Manager in the Upper School. Your role as Exams and Assessment Administrator is to provide administrative support for all internal and external exams, and to assist with the analysis of exam results data. Your responsibilities will include downloading and importing results, remarks from summer exams, distribute certificates, set up entry mark sheets, set up timetables to resolve clashes, sort out and register exam papers as they arrive, send-off exam papers to examination boards and during non-exam periods work with the SIMS MIS Manager to provide support. SIMS support officer We are currently recruiting for a SIMS support officer in the Sutton area, your role will include traveling round to several schools providing support. The position is initially for three to six months with the possibility of going perm. Your duties will include providing a helpdesk service to schools, to advise and support schools in the operation of their management system (SIMS), to assist with the planning and delivery of training of SIMS, to provide advice and support to schools on all aspects of SIMS and to provide efficient effective delivery of hardware and software support. It is essential that you have a high level and knowledge of SIMS, you need to be able to carry out SIMS updates and be proficient in the use of SOLUS 2&3, SIMS.net, Behaviour, Assessments, Attendance, Reporting and Personnel. You also need to provide technical and user support for schools SIMS system, to provide high quality support service to schools in the area, to assist with schools to support and ensure that all statutory requirements are met, to contribute to service planning and to prepare comprehensive written guidance notes all aspects of schools management information system. This role will be paying up to £18 per hour, it is essential you drive in order to travel to various schools including the Twickenham and Richmond area.

Systems Manager: We are currently recruiting for systems manager/ICT manager/IT manager/senior assistant network manager to manage the ICT technical support for a secondary school in North Manchester. The school is for pupils aged eleven to sixteen with over 800 learners. Your responsibilities will include management of the ICT technical support and management of data ICT systems network and equipment including hardware and software. To manage performance and monitoring of ICT resources, to develop medium and long term planning, to ensure that legal and contractual obligations relating to ICT resources and software licensing services are met. You will be responsible for the financial planning of the whole schools network including placing orders for the IT equipment, to attend relevant meetings where the ICT service is discussed, to control the inventory of all ICT related equipment, to be responsible of monitoring of the internet and line management of ICT technicians. In order to apply for this role it is essential that you have a minimum of five GCSE’S grade A*-C including Maths and English, at least a level three qualification in ICT and have experience of working with ICT support in the education sector, experience of line management of staff. We are currently looking for a Technical officer/Helpdesk/engineer /support engineer/service desk/field engineer/IT infrastructure support person to deliver highly effective technical support across several schools in the West London region. You will be required to attend timetabled weekly visits and also emergency visits and remote helpdesk support from the office. We currently have a temporary position as a Data Assistant/Officer to support a secondary school based in London.This role may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. In order to apply for the role you must have experience of working in a similar position using CMIS/SIMS or any other schools management information system (MIS), strong Microsoft Excel knowledge is also essential. Your main duties will include: maintaining and ensuring the smooth-running and effective use of the MIS, data entry and manipulation, you will be responsible for assessing student data, including progress and attendance. You will assist with completing relevant statistical returns including the schools census and assisting in the production of the school timetables providing regular reporting of student progress and supporting the Data Manager in their duties You will be required to start as soon as possible; this position is offering £10-£15 per hour depending on experience. We require an education experienced field engineer to work across multiple Secondary/Academy and Primary schools across the London region. The essential skills you require include strong communication skills, great customer service, a self-start attitude, pro-active, positive outlook and general helpfulness. Technically you will need to be competent at Windows Active Directory, server 2008+, windows 7 or 8, generally know your way around networks, DNS, DHCP, IP, anti-virus, backup etc. You may also have good experience of sims, cmis, isams, rm, integris, vle, cc3 or cc4, whiteboards, smartboards, voip, wireless wap.
