MIS Support Officer (SIMS/FMS/Integris) – Various South UK We are currently recruiting for individuals with experience in MIS for a successful expanding educational technical support company with a growing Capita accredited SIMS service The role of this team is to provide helpdesk and/or onsite support and training to schools across London, Oxford and Buckinghamshire. The team provides a service to improve the schools standard of using the MIS software and they are responsible for facilitating communication between schools and our client. The team provides telephone support and assistance on FMS/SIMS/Integris software to all staff within schools and academies, logging all problems, keeping schools regularly informed of progress, support the configuration of SIMS in schools and testing new FMS/SIMS products and updates. Your main duties and responsibilities will include; maintaining the schools business systems, to carry out installations and maintenance of hardware and software and to assist staff in resolving ICT problems, creating and managing user accounts on the school system. Data Officer, MI Analyst, MIS Officer, Assistant Data Manager – South London, Surrey - £25-30K A fabulous opportunity has arisen within a large Multi Academy Trust/Acadmy Federation (MAT) for a Data Officer, MI Analyst, MIS Officer, Assistant Data Manager to support a Data Director across education establishments based in South London/Surrey area. Ideally a temp to perm role, although would consider straight permanent candidates, in order to apply for the role it is essential you must have excellent and clear communication in English, strong Excel skills needed and definitely aptitude to learn new excel functionality. Some kind of knowledge of the British school environment in particular Data or MIS would be highly advantageous, ideally from working in schools, education departments/local authority etc. It is extremely desirable to have experience of any schools MIS system either SIMS, CMIS, Integris, Walton Samuels, iSams, Progresso, WCBS etc Your main duties will include: maintaining and ensuring the smooth-running and effective use of the MIS, data entry and manipulation, you will be responsible for assessing student data, including progress and attendance. You will assist with completing relevant statistical returns including the schools census and assisting in the production of the school timetables, providing regular reporting of student progress and supporting the Data Director in their duties. To prepare an analysis of examination data as required for example, mock examination and summer examinations for KS3, GCSE and 6th form. To download relevant student level information from external sources such as the DFE and upload information as required Report writing skills are essential, as is an excellent command of Ms Excel including its advanced features (vlookups, pivot tables, macro’s, sum products, array formulae etc). Any SQL or VBA skills would be highly advantageous. Qualification in MOS, Microsoft office specialist, MS office specialist, highly advantageous. You will be required to start as soon as possible, this position is offering £15-20 per hour depending on experience or permanently at £25-30K. A clean DBS check will be required for this position.
