    I have been an ICT Technician within a secondary school for 3 years now, before this I was a TechGuy at PCWorld - please don't shout at me :D I like to think I was actually a good one and got the customers what they deserved :P

    I like and am interested in all aspects of computing and technology, I am always learning and looking for more to learn. I like to help others where I can too. I have a range of skills in different areas. From networking to programing and repairing Games consoles and mobile phones. I’ve even been known to play with Arduino’s and Raspberry Pies.

    I enjoy creating websites in my spare time which I code from scratch using PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML, Ajax and many more. If I'm not programming a website chances are I'm fishing or even skateboarding (though skateboarding doesn't happen that much anymore - Getting lazy).

    I've had a similar issue before where it drops the connection (and therefore times out) because I had the wrong Windows PE driver installed. I would start by checking this, you can refer to the tech article TEC1274876 for help. Failing that do you have a user with the username drivers because that will cause it to fail whilst retrieving drivers - TEC1562348

    A couple things I think it could be? Google apps install to a directory in the users profile, maybe the install location is blocked, the path to the directory on Windows 7 is C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions. Also we have managed Google accounts here, if a student is logged into Google Chrome using their school managed Google account we can restrict the webstore from the Google admin area - https://www.google.com/a/School_Google_Domain If it's Google drive desktop that you are trying to install it could be a restriction on installing software (exe's).
