  1. Good stuff, may want to sensor the code output. What about OS versions do they differ between the two DC's?
  2. Thanks for the additional information. So looks as though replication is working correctly. The DCdiag from DC02 suggests that it is not advertising itself as a domain controller however. Are the OS version different? I can't say for certain but it looks as though the SYSVOL is still running on FRS rather than DFS-R which can cause issues with newer version of Windows Server. Also DC01 can you run the w32tm command? DC02 showing stratum level 1 would suggest DC01 is using the its CMOS rather than an accurate time source to keep time.
  3. It sounds like DC02 is not in a good shape. Is there an obvious time difference between it and the PDC (DC01)? If so AD can be quite fussy with anything out of sync especially if it is over 5 minutes. DC02 should be subscribing to DC01 for time at stratum level 2 or 3. If you run the following command from DC02 it should be able to tell you: w32tm /query /peers What hypervisor are you running the VM on? Depending on the version you may need to carry out certain configuration to stop the virtual DC from obtaining time from the hypervisor host as well as this is known to cause issue. Could you also run the following command to see the delta sizes of replication between the two servers? repadmin /replsum repadmin /showrepl Thanks
  4. Try running this command in Elevated Command Prompt then get the student to try and log in. I guess you are using windows 7? We had a nightmare with this when we first rolled Windows 7 out. Command: del /s /q "C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Sqm\*" pause The pause just allows you to see if it has deleted the file or if it wasn't there to begin with.
  5. Its on the website Define Tomorrow
  6. Anyone going for the 16/11/2016 event?
  7. Indeed mukz! Anything graphics intensive is a no go unless you want to spend a considerable amount. I looked at kitting out two of my Dell R620's with the latest Nvidia GRID cards and it just wasn't worth it.
  8. If your going to do it plan carefully. We're a school of 1400 students running on VMware vSphere and View Horizon and it is very nice to work with. One thing I will say is don't go completely Thin Client based keep some Thick Client ICT Suites available especially for your ICT teachers. We're a 50/50 split and it balances out well and makes our work load easier to manage.
  9. Hi Duke5A Can I ask what appliance you purchased and how did you find Barrauda's pricing for your Appliance? I currently have a Barracuda NG F400 firewall installed doing NAT translation and some level of filtering but looking for more indepth reports. Im currently looking at the Web Security Gateway Model 810 Appliance but find the priceing a bit hard to swallow. Thanks.
  10. As you are most likely aware the way profile manager applies these push settings is not to directly send these to the devices but to apple central servers. This intern will push these back down towards your clients. The first thing to check will be to ensure these apple macs have a reliable internet connection. The other possibility I have come across is each mac will need to have the initial trust profile installed and enrolled under a particular user (Say a dedicated service account for the Apple Device such as "appleadmin"). Regards, A
