We're usingg Frog after realising that Fronter, was pretty naff. We love it and have all the add ons as its brilliant. We now use it for our school website which links with SIMS etc. www. d rochester primary.com I'd say go for something easy for staff !

Hi Sylv3r, Thanks that's really helpful, I assume SIMS lets you upload PDF files? I can't see any reason why it wouldn't but just checking every detail so it doesn't all backfire. Graham

Hi, Traditionally each kid has gone home with a school report in an envelope, with about 10 bits of paper. We're looking to attaching/uploading the word file of each kids report into sims as our VLE has an export and can share those files online so parents can log in and see. I never use SIMS so am just trying to work out the workload - is it easy / possible to upload a file to each kids profile as a letter?\ The VLE add on has a SIMS Extractor and says it will pull out "linked documents" I think. Any help much appreciated!!!! Cheers, Graham

Sorry maybe I wasn't clear! I'm not overly worried about that side so much, just need an easy way to save files from devices to a cloud solution! Just don't want to have to enter the login details manually on 200 devices!

Hi, I want to setup google drive on all our iPads (approx 200). I've installed the app. Is there anyway of pushing account details to all the iPads? We're a primary school and want to use google drive to share files between iPads and PCs (i.e. when making an iBook share with google drive). Any ideas much appreciated Graham

Hi, I'm trying to use Apple configurator to supervise our iPads and then deploy apps via Meraki. We have VPP setup. I've got the profile on but when I go to install an app it comes up with an error in the device page "Error - Please log in to your iTunes Store account." When I click on that it says: "Code: 12040Domain: MCMDMErrorDomain Please log in to your iTunes Store account." The device asks me to login to iTunes on each device but when I press login it doesn't ket me do anything. I'm guessing that this is due to the fact that the device isn't being locked to the iTunes account which we've assigned the app to? Any help much appreciated! Graham

Hi everyone, Firstly, thanks to anyone who can provide any help to my issue! The background - Large primary - 100 iPads - Getting another 24 - Currently managed by Apple configurator So at the moment, I plug in the iPads and install apps through configurator. However I find it really cumbersome, when I want to load a backup (mainly so all the apps are organised in the same folders on everyone). We also lost the numbering of the iPads when doing this. So I'm considering meraki (or any other solution) that will easily let me: - Install apps on them all - Allow me to group apps into folders on all ipads easily - Not loose their numbers when making a change - Preferably allow me to roll out an app via wifi, save going and collecting up 100 from around the school! Hi I'm working in a (rather mad?!) primary looking at migrating to google apps from lgflmail and internal file sharing etc. Be very interested to know how people have google drive setup, do you use it entirely web based or install the software for synicing as well?

Hi, I'm emailing from a large (~500 pupil) primary school and we're looking to move to a cloud based file storage system. Currently we have a curriculum server which we login to via active directory and have an R drive which is staff resources. This is filling up and staff want to access it at home so I've looked at google apps (and google drive as part of that). All looks good etc however.... ...with many files (SMART Notebook files) staff would need to login to drive, download the file, make changes and then upload - what a mission! I've thought about installing drive on the server and set the folder for the main folder we use however this doesn't sort the "server is full" issue. Any views, should we upgrade hard drive in server and install drive onto the server? See how teaching staff cope going through the download, save etc routine? Any help much appreciated! Cheers, Graham
