I'm using Xibo in a production environment. It displays corporate adverts, news, weather, sports, campaigns, local business information, sales statistics, urgent notices, cartoon strips, everything you can think of. It took a lot of effort and there are a few quirky bits but it works fantastic.
The computers login automatically and shutdown on a schedule.
