This year I plan to spend my limited budget on a few rolls of Gaffa tape to keep everything together. Then if there is anything left I'm going to break my ICT-Direct virginity I think. Times are tight

With regards to Gmail spam filtering - Yes we have a seen a similar issue with mails destined for groups (From an internal source) ending up in spam. I've raised this with GAFE support - who advised me to follow the steps outlined here https://support.google.com/a/answer/178723?hl=en However as of today this seem to not of cured our issue. Will be reopening the call and keep you guys aprised

Anyone had any joy getting google drive working behind a proxy yet ? Scratching my head here

We tend to find the end of last few weeks of Summer 2 are always plagued by slow internet - as are the last weeks of Summer 1, Autumn 1, Autumn 2 , Spring 1 and Spring 2. People seem to switch off and wind down a lot more often than they used to and the easiest way for them to do that is to give the pupils free reign on the interweb.

@fiza I also believe RealSmart will sell you the SIMS syncing part of their software separately, couldnt tell you how much for though I'm afraid

I'm after advice on best practice when moving over from M$ Office to GAFE We have had our email on GAFE for a year now and the staff have been shown the basics of Google drive. However the uptake on the use of the drive facility is minimal. Our file servers are ageing and creaking. What I would like to do is to get my staff using GAFE over M$. And open ended question really but anyone moved totally away from MS to GAFE and if so how did you do it and what are the pitfalls / positives. Thanks

Everyday I travel down a duel carriageway with multiple roundabouts. My route is straight ahead so I more than often use the left lane. Its truly amazing how many people presume you are therefore turning left and pull out in front of you. Don't even get me started on the people who use the left lane and as they are going straight ahead go straight ahead, using both the left and right lanes and cut me up. Its a loose loose situation. How these people passed their tests I will never know.

Working in a similar environment I have come across similar issues. Pupils with emotional difficulties will always focus their destructive tendencies against school property if they are not in the right mindset. Having tried a number of different laptops I find the Clevo chasis as provided by Stone or VeryPC to be one of the more robust (especially for key removal). The biggest leap forward we made was giving the pupils personal ownership of an individual device - if they see it as their own they are less likely to damage it. We did this with iPads (Shudder), they also like shiny things. You also have the option of insurance against damage or alternatively cctv in the classrooms to identify and charge the individual responsible.

Ok I need to call on the collective experience of my peers I've just taken delivery of some Windows 8 Tablets and was after the groups recommendations as to the various free educational APPS out there that I can install to engage our pupils. Any subject, any level. I'd just like to get the pupils and staff used to interacting with the devices. I feel handing them a generic Win 8 Device with just our standard software on won't create the buzz we need to get the most out of theses tablets. I'd also consider paid for APPS if they didn't break the bank. Any and all advice appreciated Shoot......

As this thread is veering off a little lets try to point it back in the right direction, if not slightly hijacked (Apologies in advance) With regards to these PUP's any other suggestions on how to rid a machine of them. I've a run both malwarebytes and ccleaner - shows as clean but still popups and hijacks galore. Scratching my head atm.

Great work everyone Does anyone have any exercise tips for a guy with a bad knee. So far the diet and no drinking is going ok, but feel I need to do more exercise to push the weight loss further.

I initally thought the same thing @NotSoFast but due to revision pruning I'm concerned I'd lose some information.

Ok Not the best title but it's been a long day. Here is my query - Whats the best way to use Google document sharing to share policies with our staff and have them sign the document electronically. Anyone have anything similar in place or suggest to me a best practice option. Thanks in advance

I'm looking to get a decent digital camera that could replace the age old Sony Video cameras we have in our media suite for green screen videoing and good quality stills. I'd like something that we could run off mains power as well as battery for filming of Christmas shows and the like. Can anyone recommend me firstly a good all-round setup Camera / tripod / accessories and secondly a good supplier.
