  1. Hi, Am trying to find out whether it is possible to change the association of .mov files to open in Quicktime rather than Windows Media Player. I need to do this through Group Policy for all users. We are using Win 7 clients and Server 2008 R2 If anyone knows of a simple step-by-step guide that would be great ! Thanks !
  2. We have recently installed LNM, but when trying to connect to the Management Console the following error occurs.. MCSA exam

Hi kevin, As Matt40k says, it would most likely be done using NLB but in conjunction with MS ISA server (in a web publishing role) or similar. You may find a stray question, but it is really beyond the scope if the 291 exam so i wouldn't worry about it too much. You would be expected to know if you are in web publishing or a firewall admin for instance, but not for general Windows network support. Hope that helps a bit. Cheers!
  4. Thank you Strawberry. works perfectly. Have a good one. Cheers!
  5. We wanted to place the aupstaff and aupstudent html files on the sysvol of all our logon servers. However, when we entered the Path as \\%logonserver%\sysvol\EBSCG.INTERNAL\scripts\aup\aupstaff.html in the AUP Informant config file we get a page cannot be displayed within the AUP Dialog box. The path is correct as it works from Start->Run (if you remove the "\\" at the beginning). I also tried using the Path with and without the "\\" in the AUP Informant config. I was wondering, as I have zero knowledge of XML, if it was possibley to do with the serializeAs String meaning that the %logonserver% is represented literally, rather than converting to the server name? And if so, is there a work around? Thanks !
  6. One more method for you, if it helps..... REM out the line that starts: start /wait msiexec /i "RM Commissioning Utilities.msi"... in the getcom.bat file that you will find here: \rmrebuild\XPBuild\i386\$OEM$\$1\getcom.bat This will stop your CC3 build post XP install and pre CC3 cr*p. Cheers!
  7. Hi bizzel, We are having a play with AUPInformant and it looks great- just what we need. Nice one for that! Further to googlemad's request, is it possible to force aupinformant to run automatically at next login after a DECLINE only? Presumably by not writing the aup.ini when a user declines this could happen. Sorry, am no coder so haven't a clue about how to do that!!!! Cheers and all the best!
