I saw a photo on Facebook this morning that showed similar effects from the tumble dryer.

Heeey - the first Resident Evil wasn't that bad. Then they added stuff in from the games and it went to poop. FFVII Advent Children was also good.

Frag. Damn. Brilliant. Classic Suda51 stuff - self aware, self referencing and silly yet stylish to the nth degree.

Hence the quote marks - it's more about the games that generally fit into that kind of category. Certainly as Grow home seems to have been classed as an indie game, regardless of the fact it was published by Ubisoft! Valiant Hearts, I have installed - but yet to play fully. It appears to be a damned good history lesson too, though.

I was also really impressed by Limbo - minimalistic to the extreme, but a really good couple of hours spent. For those of you that like the works of Tim Schaefer and Double Fine Studios - I can also recommend The Cave, a humerous, wonderfully macabre puzzler.

No, this isn't a thread for games about Indiana Jones (unless some do, indeed fall in the category!), but a thread about the little games we find on PSN / XBL / Steam etc. The oft missed gems, lost in the sea of blocky pixel based games (personal pet hate of intentionally cashing in on the "retro" feel). What 'little' games have people found to be brilliant? I found Guacamelee! to be brilliant, humerous and full of in-jokes and memes. I've already mentioned Transistor in another thread.

Loved Shadow of Mordor. Bit annoyed they reduced a very important section to a QTE though... (vague to avoid spoilers) Decided to hammer my way through Transistor. The music in this game is brilliant - fits the theme perfectly and often gives me goosebumps. Damned good game, too.

Still - they had some nerve.

After many swearwords, problems with trophy-breaking glitches and lots of dragon slaying, I've finally Platinumed Skyrim. My birthday also meant I got presented with Doom & Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
