We applied the patch, didn't even require a restart, SIMS issues were fixed. It's now running as before, and the DMS issue is fixed

exactly the same here, CPU really low, Memory never above 80% but sims unusable. Spot on with the DMS serivce also, we were convinced we had sorted the issues when we first found but turned out to be a total coincidance

Started last Week as daily server restarts to clear, now requiring 3 restarts a day, resources on server arent maxed out but something is blocking something somewhere. Its just turned horrible

Just wondered if any of you have also expeienced issues with the whole of sims since the upgrade? We have had to deisabled the SMS service as sims crashes when on, even then it falls over regularly. Applied the upgrade last Monday, fine before now woeful in performance

Yeah that's what I thought. I have enforce users to sign in, users were signed in correctly and their logs were coming through in securly, listed as filter in the correct policy but on their machines they were suffering SSL errors. It seems this was related to the default policy even though they were in another policy. We use DNS but I'd also tried with the PAC, happened with both. Seems fixed now just can't understand why.

I think I have figured out the issue, I don’t know why as it doesn’t make sense. I think it was the default policy. I had blocked most categories, my thinking being that if anyone falls into the category by mistake id want them to be blocked. However I don’t think this is how Securly works, having enabled all the categories now apart from obviously porn, gambling etc, the SSL errors are now gone. Now all the policies are blocking as they should and the SSL error pages are no more. I need to look into how Securly applies the policies and why the default policy plays a pivotal role when it isn’t applied to a group

Thanks for reply, its so annoying, works well on our chromebook fleet. Seems to only be afffecting e-commerce sites bizarly, morrisons, tesco, 1001fonts.com (which is an e-commerce site according to their lists). Othe sites that use SSL are unaffected and work as expect, so annoying when there is nothing i can do to diagnose or fix really.

We have just moved to this for our PC stock. Securly on our Chromebooks has been excellent and so thought it would be the same for our PCs, but no, exactly the same errors as are reported here. Support keep bouncing back and two while issues seems to be getting worse. All SSL and all seem related to shopping sites. Did anyone ever solve?

Superb!!!!! Really stupid of Microsoft as usual, switch off something and give no real alternative. This works brilliant, removed key with PDQ, will turn back on with PDQ after a month of use.

Evening everyone Got a wierd one that is totally frustrating me. I re-direct everyones desktop to a central location, staff and students have theire own area so i can throw links in easy, works well. EXCEPT you open Excel and click save as, then browse or documents and nothing happends, nothing opens at all. CTRL + S does nothing either. Remove the desktop redirection, it works fine. Seems that Excel needs to have write access to the desktop to save????!!!! Never had tis issue in Windows 7, any ideas greatly appreciated.

We use it, the 2FA is handled by the CPOMS app staff have on their devices, we never looked at the USB keys as all staff have smart phones. Users are created by groupcall, the safeguarding lead assigns permissions for all users. We have limited access to reset users 2FA devices and nothing else, makes sense as it takes only a couple of clicks to do and can be logged on our helpdesk. The biggest issue is the changing of passwords which happens every 60 days or so. If the password is incorrect the warning writing is tiny and not obvious so it looks like the password was changed successfully, almost all issues are due to this.

Google Meet for us, we have classroom though-out so makes sense, also mush easier GUI than teams, teaching staff are more confident using Meet due to this.

Wow, sounds like we work in the same school. All staff in last week for two days, HOYs and HODs met on Wednesday then departments all came in Thursday, no idea why this couldn't have been remote, guess they wanted everyone to get used to the procedures. For Year 10 I think they are planning on doing English for a week, then maths, then science with a meet for all pupils with their form tutor also. Crazy for what will be 4 weeks of School with lots of staff having to come in also, especially on the support side, even though most could still work from home.

Absolute nightmare, hate it, so complicated and the worst development in Windows 10. Windows 7 was so easy just dragging and dropping to folders!!! I have given up as doing my nut in and frankly I don't trust it will continue to work. I have decided no start menu and just share a desktop like the old days. Works well, way easier and don't have to worry about the designed for home use start menu anymore!

Had this at my last School, Purchased outright, absolute waste of money in my opinion. Each room like yourself also had a computer in it plus a staff room area with additional units. Unboxing, asset tagging, dumping of waste, bit locking and then eventually deploying is a long laborious drag made worse by the fact the majority wont actually need a device. Then at the end of life after 3 or so years you have the problem of disposal as SLTs will then want to offer it back to staff rather than dispose of. Licensing issues, continued support of out of date equipment and deciding who is entitled to the devices then becomes another issue. If I was to do again I would ask that each user who would be eligible would at the very least have to fill out a business case to justify the spend. The School needs to understand what it wants to achieve first before agreeing funding and pushing through a solution, no proper business would do this. The second hand market is great for computers but even a bog standard i5 would cost at least £250 a unit, that's £25,000 for 100. If new say £600 a unit, £60,000 which would be where leasing would probably be the only real option considering the state of School budgets. Doing this would surely have to be fully justified to prove the benefits to the pupils and the School. Disappointing you haven't been consulted first before the powers that be have agreed the funding, to easy to just buy a load of laptops. Good luck dude, sounds like their decision is made
