DAVE chesterfield is very close ! I actually work there. if you do ever decide to get back into it there's some very friendly venues in Mansfield woodhouse and Sutton and to follow on from what CAM was saying: Grey knights are one of your very elite armies in 40k and probably one of the cheapest to start with as I have lists that work in 1850 games with around 15 models no vehicles ^^ think of the grey knights as the jedi's of 40k there all psykers and very good ones and there damn well trained and are very very very good at killing daemons! Orks Because ORKS ORKS ORKS they are funky and can be played many different ways and if your decently quick with them they usually make a game fun for both people Necrons have been toned down a lot with there new codex and its still a very good codex and you can pretty much take the models you like and make a working army as all the units work pretty much Space marines have fantastic variety and can be built in many different ways to any play style Space wolves Like above except VIKINGS Blood angels Like above But vampires Chaos are more difficult as they do have units that just don't work in certain scenarios and you need to find a real synergy within your army list but when you do find it.... dear lord.... especially when used with daemons... Tau smell very strongly of mature cheddar and come in blocks shaped like giant battle suits basically tau are a gunline army but have access to some of the best monstrous creatures in the game especially if you like forgeworld added bonus if your into gundam Daemons tend to be very random and have very strong specific units under certqain situations certain gods give you advantages in certain scenarios and whats not to love about big Daemon princes and greater daemons the models are beautiful Eldar Damn quick and deadly lots of specialised units and THE best transport in the game that makes you cry every time you hear serpent shield also smell faintly of edam Dark eldar I don't really know these guys very well but have played a few armies with them as allies usually elder they have some nice units and they can hit damn hard ! I think the unit I was impressed with was grotesques but I could be wrong imperi... astra militarium I haven't played much of these but the themes tends to be massive units of infrantry that blind everyone with there blinky lights or lots and lots and even more tanks.... pretty cool army to play and can be very effective against the usually nails lists Inquisition usually a codex that's allied with others you get cool guys who have very cool artifacts for not many points who buff your amry in various ways brilliant special characters and are kind like judge dredd of the 40k universe Imperial Knights I haven't seen many people use these as a full army but I have seen these as allies they can be crippling against massed infranty or deathstars very big walkers with very big swords that cleave and stomp anything that survives the initial shelling hope this helps!

Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game (AKA The Hobbit)

I play 40k and firestorm at 2 local venues one called slayer gaming located in Mansfield woodhouse and the other called sanctuary gaming in Sutton in Ashfield. If any of you play local to these places id check them out brilliant venues brilliant people that game there I believe there's a good amount of hobbit players at both:) plenty of 40kers and lots of other game systems all played if you ever want to get back into the loop Dave let me know ill give you a refresher game. -
Well gamma hit this weekend and was great fun to play so far. slightly annoyed my angel was stored 150ly away...... but other than that vast improvements and after a little network trouble early on seems stable and there's plenty of people around to fight along side and defeat when they try to loot me ^^ anyone else had some time in gamma?
-
Did anyone watch this? dear lord.... )
-
ill be honest I haven't really encountered many bugs in the short times I've played obviously ran into the network issues when they were rife but other than that. Got mega bored of mining last night and sold all my gear bought me some overcharged burst lasers and multicannons all gimbled and went round killing stuff and mass trading was a good night ^^
-
Cobra is amazing so much nicer than the viper for me unless you go for looks. I can see it been more suiting to my play style as I go to closest port buy items I know sell go to mining area sell items, mine for minerals and then occasionally drop into an instance of sorts to break things up.
-
I did the exact opposite I sold my viper and went to a cobra mk3 and took on mining guess it quickly gets boring ... although palladium and gold return Is too good to miss. I killed anacondas with torpedo's but It would be hard to earn much since the ammo is 15k a shot....

AMD always gets my vote for bang for buck. I've always found careful research into the motherboard and ram is very important to maximise the potential of a small budget computer. I only moved to Intel this build due to A) having more money B) Intel did have a few more newer technologies open to their processors than AMD at the time.

Right so ive looked at the Microsoft ones and they sound suitable to what I want. Has anyone done the windows 7 MSCA? -
Hi, I'm looking at trying to improve myself within both my current job role (IT Technician) and hopefully open up options to either make a case for senior technician or get something on my CV to allow me to job search for an senior technician or equivalent job. Now I've been working in my current school for nearly 3 years one of those I was an apprentice. now I've got 2 level 3 qualification to do with IT but I'm looking for something either level 4 or more importantly something generally recognised by IT firms as useful and also useful to me. the course also has to be manageable around my work and cheap enough that the school may help with the cost. Thanks in advance!

id happily recommend the corsair 7.1 gaming headsets as I've got an older version than the ones out now but its absolutely amazing sound quality is brilliant and the 7.1 actually works and it also came with a nifty jacks to usb connector so I can plug it in either as required
-
strange I haven't had this issue yet and as for the anacondas it wasn't deliberate the damn turret hit him he was on my side! id normally tackle one of those from range. also if you want a quick big earner find a gold mission dear lord I go 100k return from last one I did!
-
sweet ^^ last night I managed to die a few times more... turreted laser kept shooting whatever it wanted so I ended angering both sides in a warzone... unfortunately one of those was a godlike anaconda right next to me
-
ill happily recommend the fly 5 it does seem to come under different manufacturer names but is the same stick and elite recognises it as a Saitek joystick mine is a mad catz version. I have no complaints about it so far!
-
I think im gonna stick with my Eagle called angel ^^ and buy an anaconda and also a type 9 heavy to fill different play styles so I don't get bored ^^ the turreted weapons for the anaconda are just silly....

it the first part of the game im a little frustrated with! and as for the torpedoes totally worth it to watch the panic o a viper when you hit one with it ^^
-
well trying to find an upgraded reactor for the eagle is proving a lot more troublesome than it needs to be on the plus side torpedoes and gimbled pulse laser work well knock out a targets shield then drop a torpedo on them. However I only drop torpedoes when fighting fairly superior vessel like a viper or anaconda as its a 15k reload cost!
-
bought myself the eagle last night wow what an improvement going to get it fully upgraded as the standard stuff you get with it means you die in seconds....
-
I got a madcatz fly 5 it works just fine it glows blue too!
