  1. We have a frustrating problem where only one PowerPoint opens at a time on Windows 7 system, If I try to open a second PowerPoint it does nothing, If I delete my user profile and log back in, it's fine, but then the problem returns the next time I log in. We use roaming profiles with folder redirection. My guess would be some app data problem but I have no idea what. Has anyone experienced this problem? Thanks
  2. Hi Sorry for delayed reply. They have roaming ntuser.dat files. Windows 7 has been in place for some time, the problem has been present the whole time I've been here, A fix being to remove the ntuser.dat file from the profile.v2 folder on the file server. Although that fixes the problem for that session, the same teacher may have the problem again when logging on in another classroom, or on occasion the same classroom. Which proves frustrating to them when we have to remove the setting file each time they log on. Thanks
  3. We seem to have an issue with roaming profiles within our school. When a teacher logs in they can only open one PowerPoint presentation at a time, this seemed to be an issue with smart ink (Smart Technologies) as it would flash up an error message about access being denied, this would usually be because the profile had loaded up incorrectly e.g. j.smith. rather than j.smith, to fix the problem the ntuser files would need to be removed from the users profile and the local cached profile removed, However no cached profile is visible in either advanced system settings or the registry, The folder remains in c:users. If we just delete the ntuser files from the profile.v2 folder on the server, the teacher is able to open more than one PowerPoint after logging back in, however the next day the same thing again. There is no policy in place to delete cached profiles. Any help with this would be very much appreciated.
