I am having exactly the same problem. I have three devices classed as 'Unknown' in RMMC and when I try to do a rebuild it fails stating 'Type not found' at the package installation stage. I have tried using RM Smart Client, but this also fails. It appears to be passing 'unknown' as the type in the parameters. I tried to see if I can bypass this by running Smart Client as a command and passing parameters, but this doesn't work. Has anybody had this issue and found a solution?
