I don't think Captia have replaced it yet - still totally terrible? I am currently on the lookout for a good IEP Writer (preferably an online solution) so if any one has any suggestions then please do let me know.

From my personal experience in school this windows based IEP writer can be a bit of a nightmare to setup and to be honest is a bit dated. There are some other good online ones out there that require zero installation and integrate with SIMS just as well. Just do a google for "IEP Writer" and you should find a nice spread of available products.
