  1. Any change of somone PM'ing me the default admin password for Eclipse.net as well, we seem to of locked our selves out and the Librarian is away for the next few weeks.
  2. You need to set this setting in a Machine Settings Policy that also has User Settings, it allows you to apply user policies to machines, this will affect all users including Domain Admins that log on to that machine. The "User Group Policy Loopback Processing Mode" policy works in 2 ways, the first option is "Replace" which will tell the machine to ignore all of the GPO that the user logging on has attached to their OU (and those inherited) and instead replace them with the ones specified in the machines policy. Best way to think about this method is an internet café where all users must have these settings regardless of there settings elsewhere on the network. The second method is "Merge" which will "try" to merge the settings specified in your machine policy with the ones applied to the user. I tend not to use the merge method but it does have its advantages, in scenarios like yours.
  3. I am doing it without a SAN at the minute on a HP DL 380 G5 with 20GB of RAM and 2x 2.5 Quad Xeons. I'm about to hit the limit on internal storage - currently RAID 1 for 2008 R2 w/ HyperV @ 146GB and RAID 5 for storing VMs @ ~300GB. It currently running Exchange, 2008 R2 DC, WDS, Print Server, LANSweeper (Software Auditing), SharePoint 2010 Foundation, Sophos Server, WSUS Server. This summer we're going to expand it with a Dell EqualLogic and another HP DL 380 G6. On a basic level you just need a Server that can support Hardware Virtualization, be it Intel or AMD, most modern servers will support this, as with everything the more RAM the better, but don't think you need to spend £8000 on 144 GB of RAM, our current box started with 8GB, then 16GB, and now 20GB
  4. Just thought I'd crowd source this one, recently I noticed when opening a browser and going to say google.com I get a small jpg appear instead of the usual google page. I've not got a screenshot but its shows a small 80x200 brown shield outline. It maybe happen 1-in-100 times, but it happens on other sites, and I just got a call from another Network Manager at another school, and he's saying the same thing. The only similarity is that we are both inside the LGfL and both using Synetrix. Is anyone else experienced this?
  5. I found whats doing it, the CSS for the eg_simple template has got a bug in it, where when I close a tag it places the image for the bottom left corner in, I can get round it with text by use for example instead of . This is fine for text but does not work for other items like calendar modules etc. Anyone from the dev team have an idea on how to fix cheers.
  6. I've got an issue with certain modules and the module hilite function I've attached a grab of the problem, anyone solved this before a spend time looking at the problem. Cheers
