Hi all, We’re a rural prep school where a second physical fibre circuit isn’t feasible, so we’re looking at Starlink as a backup internet connection. If anyone is currently using Starlink (or has done so recently), I’d be interested in real-world feedback on: Reliability (noting this may be location-dependent) How helpful Starlink support is when issues arise This would be backup only, not a primary connection. I'm working through the DfE standards for servers and storage, and one standard says: "Your senior leadership team will need to decide the maximum downtime it is willing to accept. This should be based on your specific needs, including the sensitivity of the system and data, and the importance of the system and data to running your school or college". What do you do in your schools regarding allowed periods of network downtime? Do you 'budget' for a certain amount of downtime for unplanned/planned?

Our 5 year lease is up, and we’re looking at options. We’re currently with Konica, but a mixture of toner supply issues and lack of account management/escalation are forcing us to look elsewhere. So far, Canon are coming out far cheaper than KM or Apogee (HP). Does anyone have experience with Canon photocopiers? Are they any good?! thanks in advance

Hello, We're an independent prep school, and we're looking to change our MIS provider (currently WCBS) for academic, but stay where we are for finance/billing. Does anyone have any experience of using the data in SchoolBase and sending it over to PASS for billing (using Wonde or CSV files etc.)? Does it work well? Thanks in advance

Hi all, Had anyone invested in Clevertouch for their IWB solution? We are considering purchasing 6 of them, but want to make sure they will last longer than our Smart boards (5-6 years). The Clevertouch boards come with a 5 year on site warranty, but we want to be sure they will last longer than that!

We seem to be having problems accessing IXL.com; on IE, it fails to work, on Chrome and Firefox it works fine. Initially we thought that it could be our Flash/Java, but updating these has not solved the problem. The fact that it works on other browsers rules out out filtering/proxy. Support keep pointing us back to the proxy. Is anyone else having the same problem, or have any other ideas we could try?! Thanks in advance!
