  1. For your information this arrived from Synetrix late last night. 'Work was completed today to re-enable the old FJ webservers in the Synetrix data centre. The servers have been re-located with existing passwords and content, no changes were made to the FJ webservers themselves. As you're aware, this is existing and un-supported legacy hardware, so we would recommend that your schools now complete the migration as soon as possible to avoid any medium term risk. There will be a final cut off point (specific date TBC) where we will plan to de-commission these servers as this lift & shift operation is out of scope of the original transition plan.' Basically if your website was hosted on the embc fujitsu servers and you have not migrated it to the new Synetrix servers you need to do this ASAP
  2. All seems to be ok apart from a nating issue in Derbyshire which is being investigated and does not affect other LA's. PCF issues have been resloved and will undergo further testing today as will the whole of the embc estate to ensure all is ready for tomorrow 7am Un-migrated websites and 3rd party hosted services are the only exception to the tues 07.00 deadline. School websites - currently still have a target of wed morning to re-enable legacy webservers. If any other information arrives during the day I will post asap.
  3. The network Switchover is still underway at the moment. This message was paced on the LA and embc Portals on Thursday afternoon From today, websites that have not already moved to the new embc/Synetrix service will now be unavailable over the Easter weekend. Temporary arrangements have been put in place for these sites to be made available following the Easter break for a short period of time. This will extend the period given to schools to move their sites to the new embc/Synetrix service to the end of April. The website servers are also undergoing a 'lift and Shift'. They have been moved from Fujitsu to the Synetrix farm server and are due to be brought back online on by Wednesday. This message was received from Synetrix at 11.30pm last night School websites - currently still have a target of wed morning to re-enable legacy webservers. All servers have now been brought across to the Synetrix CSF and work will commence on tues morning to bring these back live.
  4. More information for Northants Schools From today, websites that have not already been moved to the new embc-Synetrix service will now be unavailable over the Easter weekend. Temporary arrangements have been put in place for these sites to be made available following the Easter break for a short period of time, to extend the period given to schools to move them to the new embc/Synetrix service to the end of April.
