Sorry to post on your thread but i thought i may have similar problem. We had 20 new PCs from novatech which also randomly freeze. After few months of tech support which included sending PC back to Novatech for testing on which they didnt find any faults. Novatech claim its our build which is faulty. but we have over 200 PC's which have same build the problem is only with these 20 (which are highest spec PCs on site). I look right idiot in front of other staff for not being able to sort the problem out on the novatech PCs. Any help will be much appreciated. spec is P4 HT 3Ghz 512 PC 4200 RAM Foxcon mother board 80 gig samsung SATA HDD

Staffordshire Job evaluation - Are you affected?
Chris replied to adicken's topic in Educational IT Jobs
Going back to numbers in my school(STAFFORDSHIRE) sallary cuts reach as high as 11000 mine 3000 increases range from 11 pounds to 300 pounds. there are number of staff who are "not affected" at the moment. But they will not get a pay rise ever. in numbers they are classed as not affected. MORE IMPORTANTLY ALL AUTHORITIES ARE ON PURPOSE DOING AT DIFFERENT TIMES SO THAT IT DOESNT MAKE A NATIONAL NEWS. IN NEAR FUTURE ALL THE AUTHORITIES WILL GO THROUGH IT AGAIN EACH AT DIFFERENT TIME. ITS POLICY OF DIVIDE AND RULE. CANT THE UNIONS SEE IT. ITS NATIONAL ISSUE NOT LOCAL. -

Can anybody please help on Windows 2000 server backup. Scheduled jobs on the Windows 2000 server don’t work if the path contains a mapped network drive but it works fine if the path is to a local drive. I am able to successfully start a manual backup to mapped network drive but not scheduled one. In the task scheduler it shows the task is running but there is no backup file created. I am trying to do backup the server onto another machines shared drive….Thank You
