I'm new here and just wanted to say hi before I went on with any annoying questions. I'm a geek person for a university, specifically I work for the lawyers, so that's fun (no sarcasm intended). I work for some really smart but technically challenged people and that's just all sorts of unique. For some reason my office makes constant use of bags of rice, duct tape, pliers and rubbing alcohol, beside the usual array of computer hardware and tools.
As with most in-house techs, I'm expected to be system admin, web master, security expert as well as manager of a plethora of services and devices. So I'm never the expert when there is a problem. So hopefully ya'll will not be too adverse to giving a gal a hand once in a while. I have already spotted the gaming thread ... so while this is supposed to be a forum I am posting on with my work identity, the lawyers will have to put up with me occasionally dishing on video games for networking purposes. Mmmhmm. Legit work.
