Thank you for the welcome. At the moment there are 6 of us. 3 consultants (AKA older technicians), 2 ex-apprentices now young technicians and a genuine apprentice. The consultants (?) have the following areas of responsibility: 1. MIS admin +helpdesk. 2. Server farm +network infrastucture. 3. Asset management + purchasing.

Hi I'm Chris Angland, IT Consultant (Admin) at William de Ferrers School in Essex - Used to be Head of IT in previous schools but gave up the hassle and went to techie! We are a large mixed comprehensive of 1900+ students and have 1000+ computers (laptops, thin clients and desktops). I have recently taken over responsibility for SIMS and all its parts.
