    Yes to do the Vmware route you do need a good PC, an i5 seems to run it OK here, just need caffine installed to stop it going to sleep.

    We had a similar problem, and we went for a new domain and transfered the users accross using the ADMT tools, we have tested the transfer in a lab setup but haven't done it live yet. Download details: Active Directory Migration Tool version 3.2
