A brand new building complete with imacs, idesks, ipads and laptop trolleys has been the catalyst to the realisation of our ambitious vision. The promotion of our current technician created this vacancy as we look to recruit someone who can continue the great work to date, creating and maintaining infrastructure required for us to reach the promised land. The successful candidate will oversee the logistics of maintaining and configuring over 100 ipads deployed to staff and pupils in different year groups, with varying access requirements. A key part of the role is to maintain and develop the effectiveness of our school network, keeping abreast of the latest device management systems that will support both our Apple and Windows servers. Communicating well with staff and being on hand to resolve technical difficulties that arise, is crucial in empowering our staff to experiment and innovate. A further important part of the job is to demonstrate the use of various apps and software to staff and groups of children. Performing a similar role for staff beyond St. Catherine’s and interested parties from the wider community could lead to revenue generation and proportional bonus payments. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to attend some of these exchanges and to play a vital role in ensuring new apps identified during visits are functional back at St. Catherine’s. St. Catherine’s is a really great place to work. Our committed staff are willing to be led towards whatever will excite and inspire the pupils to excel. Blessed with so much fantastic technology, we really enjoy allowing our pupils to live the future today.
