  1. hi, I have followed the advise everyone has kindly given to create the exceptions site in the windows folder rather that the local low. I have created and run a script that will place the 3 required folder on to every pc, HOWEVER i cant deploy them cause I can't get the website I want acces to to access the configuration folder. I attach a screen shot of the error. I have tried various numbers of \\ // and :: ' s in the folder path in the config file but everytme i get this message. Anybody any ideas what i am doing wrong? I created the config file in notepad and saved as 'all files' as a .config file. Thanks
  2. We have the redirected folder with the sites copied from the profile on the old pc they used when on XP. They now have a new pc with 7 on and they can see and use these copied sites which are saved in a favorites folder in their home folder that all works fine. What they can't do is add any new ones now they are on Win7, IE9 and a new pc. If you add a site it will be added to the fav list in the top left of IE and stay there as long as they are logged on, when they log off and log back on the the SAME pc the added favorite is not there. Is this IE, Win7 or permissions? Can't seem to get to the bottom of why they don't save.
  3. We have recently migrated to windows 7 and server 2008R2. We have Ranger installed and use roaming profiles. My problem is when usingXP (still with ranger) a staff member could save a favorite site within IE andthat favorite would be there when they logged back on to the same pc. Now weare on Win 7 staff can no longer save a favorite site, even if they log back to the same pc, I have transferredexisting sites from the XP profile to the Win 7 profile and these can be seenby user and accessed BUT they can't add more. Can't find why this is happening??
