Hi all Right here we go, I have a proxy.pac file sat on my macbook pro running OSX server. set the iPad proxy to the .pac file and is sees it and works! great you would think eh but it won't connect to profile manager. So all in all it will go off to the proxy server and go off to the internet but when I put the url in of profile manager it says its not there. Can i add this to the .pac file so that it will look locally before going to the proxy? Hope this make sense! Thanks

I through of that the network manager won't give me access to the firewall or the Wifi network! :-( Makes my job very hard to do!!!!!

Hi all Just a quick question. Is their a way to put a time limit on the iPad I am wanting to get the teachers to hand in their iPads once a month for updates but they all seem to have broken legs and can't get to my office to hand them in! :-/ So i was wanting to lock the iPad to force them to bring them in. Is there a way of doing this? Cheers!

Showbie is what we use to get data off our iPads and its free!

I can I still cant get our iPads to enrol. Well I can get them to enrol through the m.meraki.com web page but in the manage side I have no control over the iPad that I have enrol. Its just says "Client synchronization is not yet complete" If CLEO have open the ports it must be something on site.

Who is your ISP? ours is CLEO. Was thinking off phoning them today to check if the port that Meraki use are open.

I have a question for you all! Any help would be great! So I have my test iPad which I am trying to enrol on to Meraki. So I do the goto m.meraki.com and put in my code and install the profile. Great!! My iPad shows up in system manage I click on it and its all there. all the info about my iPad. So i am think yes it has worked!!! NO NO NO I tried to lock my iPad and nothing just sits at pending, same goes for everything I try to do. I am thinking it is being block coming in to our school because I am sending the command from my Mac that is on a public connection and my iPad is on a restricted connection What do you guys think?

Yes I agree with you but am just the tech guy who has to make it work! i dont get a say in what lessons they should be using then in! :-(

Mite have to phone Cleo and ask them if they can allow Meraki to go through their firewall! Wish me luck! HA

Well because the iPads are only 16GB and its 2 kids to 1 iPad and by the sounds of it they will be take a lot of photos and videos so it is going to full up quick. Even tho they can upload their data to showbie it doesnt delete it off the iPad they will have to do it or i will have to wipe it. :-( I have looked into Meraki but cant seem to get my iPads to enroll. Our ISP has filters and the firewall is off site so cant open ports or anything like whick pisses me off on end!HA

Yeh check it out its a great app and and you can use it on a PC as well. it you deside to use it setup a school account. I looked in to dropbox but setting up account was to much like hard work!Ha I dont know how they are going to be use at the moment. I was meaning wipe all the data off the iPad and start from fresh.

Hi Right guy I have set up our iPad trolleys with IOS 7 and loaded them up with paid/free app using Apple configurator. I know Apple configurator is work correctly at the moment but they are all is set up and working. So a little back ground on what’s happening. We 60 iPads for the kids to use and 6 for staff. I have use apple configurator to restrict and set up. They want to have 1 iPad to 2 kids! Great!!!! So I have found an App called Showbie( Check it out is a great app) and it will upload data from the iPad to Showbie so they can get the data off the iPad. it does a lot more than that to. So my question is what are you polices on maintaining them? Even tho they can upload there data off the iPad they are going to fill up quick. I was think once a month getting them all back staff and kids to restoring them back to how they when out. What do you guy do? Cheers

Hi I am having the same problem. Set one iPad up and backed it up and when i try to put it on another iPad it goes through the process but then sits at the set up screen!! Dammm!!!! Also I have notice the that web Clips don't work right. So i have a web clip in my profile that i install on all our iPads it links to our e mail so what happens is that when I set up the one iPad and installed the profile then backed it up. Then when I restore the back to an other iPad like i said before it sits at the setup screen. So i go through the setup and there are now 2 Web Clip one is white and doesnt work and the other is fine! Keep me posted on what apple have to say! Cheers
