  1. I just want to say that I'm grateful to get the replies I have gotten so far. I expect you are right that it is too advanced. However, I don't know what my starting point is without doing an undergraduate degree or attending night school ( I don't have much free time to attend night school - but I have more free time to do online courses. The problem with free online courses that don't offer the potential hint/glimmer of certification is that I lack motivation to complete them.
  2. Hi Ben, thanks for replying. I do sound confused. I partly took the networking course with the goal to be more technically competent in the long term. Access has nothing to do with that. Aside from the networking course, one of my goals is to be more competent at programming, including knowing VBA
  3. Hi, I'm Leon from Brooklyn. I'm a licensed NY attorney and work as a Litigation Support Project Manager. I don't have a technical background (apart from on-the-job training in Litigation discovery tools). The more I work in this industry the more I feel like I need fundamental training in IT. I just got a Groupon offer for a Cisco Network training package. I signed up for it because it was cheap but I have no idea if it is good/useful. My goal is to eventually be able to write code, e.g to write awesome queries and edit modules in MS Access
