  1. I'm trying to find some something for storing mobile devices and digital cameras whilst being able to charge them inside it too. Does anyone have a solution to this or can share ideas to this solution? Thanks
  2. You should be able to get WAMP to work if you configure it correctly. Anyway, another alternative is to use XAMPP that way there isn't much if any configuring to do, but it's fairly straight forward anyway if you want to
  3. Have you checked whether or not if the radio box "Ask where to save each file before downloading" is ticked within Chrome?
  4. Seems a lot of people didn't bother reading his thread. I would recommend Chrome remote desktop, just due to the fact that I don't know any other alternatives other than that
  5. My friend got his S3 (cracked screen) for £150 and a replacement digitizer for £22.00
  6. Does the Nexus 4 come with an SD slot like the Samsung Galaxy 3/4 does? Also wouldn't it be a good idea to buy a broken S3/4 (broken screen) and just install a new digitizer? I know a couple of people who have done that, and they haven't had any problems with their phone since
  7. My apprenticeship is about to come to an end, and I'm just wondering what I'm options are, and whether any techies in High Schools would ever consider taking on an Apprentice. Before I got this Apprenticeship, I primarily wanted to get placed in an High School to begin with, however this never came to be and I ended up in a Primary School. As you can imagine because the scale of IT in a Primary School is much smaller compared to that of a High School it meant that my Apprenticeship has mainly consisted of me covering staff and supporting classes with Numeracy and Literacy, and ofc when there is an IT problem people come to find me, and I go to their class to fix the problem or do it remotely if I can, depending on what the issue is. I was just wondering if many High Schools take on Apprentices, as from looking around I haven't seen any, only Colleges, Small Businesses and Primary Schools. I would think it would be a great learning opportunity for me to work in one as I would get a better understanding of the networking and infrastructure side of things at a bigger scale than what I understand now. I know that qualifications may not be as important nowadays and experience is probably more appealing for an employer, but I still think its important that I get on an Apprenticeship which can provide me with CISCO Networking and Microsoft Certified Qualifications, because its all well and good saying you can do something but having proof for it is better. My current Apprenticeship was meant to get me a level 3 in IT User skills but the people in charge of it screwed up and I only get a level 2 out of this, even though I already have a level 2 in IT (Creative Media Diploma). I never quit and looked elsewhere as I really wanted the work experience, and as I was moving houses at the time, so I was faced with uncertainty with what I was going to do if I were to quit. I am currently based in the Wigan area and I commute to work via train, meaning I can only travel between Liverpool and Manchester.
  8. Removing the drive letter sorted it, I wasn't aware that the programfiles variable included. I should of known that tbh, silly me. Thanks Arthur, I may look at that in the future, but atm isn't necessary as our machines are all 32bit. Thanks for the help guys!
  9. Trying to force an MSI out to the remaining computers which seem to be playing stubborn installing Chrome with software installation GPO, so going to do it with a script instead. However I'm not getting anywhere with this script so far, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong @echo off Set File="C:\%programfiles%\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" If Not Exist %file% Goto Google If Exist %File% Goto TheEnd :Google msiexec /package "\\SERVER\SOFTWARE\GOOGLEAPPS\GoogleChrome\GoogleChromeStandaloneEnterprise.msi" /quiet :TheEnd echo Chrome exists! 10. I am currently an Apprentice in a Primary School. At the moment the iPads at my School aren't being used as much or configured well. This is partly due to how they're managed (Procedures to use the iPads, iPads not being on charge, and little things like that..) I also have a problem with them getting full fast due to the teachers recording video and taking pictures with them. So I'm just looking for some insight on how other schools handle them. (Where they are stored, how you go about keeping iOS up to date, do you use an Apple Configurator or w.e its called, do you back them up, etc...)
  11. Cheers both of you. I will try what you've said Matt. I looked there before but didn't see anything to do with Mono, or greyscale. I probably didn't look through the options thoroughly enough.
  12. We have 3 of these printers in the school. I want to be able to have 2 Shares for each printer, a share for color and one for mono. I have made the shares, sorted the script, etc but what I haven't done is set the 2nd share for each of these printers to only print Mono and not Colour. Does anyone know how this can be done? Regards, Chaddy
  13. This thread can be closed now. Sorted it! I think it was something to do with my 3G connection.
  14. I recently bought myself a Galaxy S3, and so I decided to get the site's app as it kept prompting me to whenever I used the site in the browser. So I installed it and guess what... I can't seem to load it past the beginning splash screen I have tried reinstalling it, clearing my cache, etc but I still get the same result Has anyone else had this problem? FYI: I'm running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and the S3 model is GT-L19300
  15. If you haven't sorted the issue yet, post the source code for it, and I'll have a look. (I do commission work as a web developer)
