  1. Would it be easier or more difficult to integrate this with Office Web Apps, already supported in Sharepoint 2010?
  2. I agree that putting in all these extra accounts seems like a nightmare. I personally would rather send them all into a room with pen and paper!
  3. We're looking for a more reliable and easier to manage inventory method, and this came up as a possible solution. Has anyone any experience of this? How easy was it to get going and manage? Our finance department considers it to be ::expletive deleted::, but it thought I'd ask around. ::Edit:: I'll ask for suggestions for alternative packages. What we require is something that can inventory all equipment including location by room and disposal.
  4. I don't think many of our staff, outside SMT, use SIMS until they're doing end of year reports, which they're supposed to have finished by now. I'd be surprised if they had noticed. All the day to day stuff is Bromcom.] Have to look into that slow thing then, if nobody else is suffering. The server's a bit creaky, but not that bad, I thought. Only other thing, is Teacher's Desktop has gone belly up, again.
  5. Alongside documentation, has anyone ever been on a SIMS training course, and was it useful? I'm a tech support person, so if anyone has been on any administration courses that would be particularly useful.
  6. Hi. My name's Ultan. I work at Manshead Upper School with Norphy. This is my first real IT job and I'm constantly living in fear of being found out, although I'm three weeks in and still employed (hurrah!!). I'm a father of one three year old, stubbornly independant girl. My partner works in a Chemical pathology lab and refuses to listen to a word I have to say about computers but expects me to understand the minutae of Calcium/Potassium balance and Liver Function Tests. I quail in the face of such indecipherable magic.
