Has anyone else had a pay cut? down graded from ICT tech to CupIUIIIirriculum resource assistant.

I too got the error when trying to reset passwords. I spoke to the helpdesk & apparently there is an error in the administrator setup. If you give them your admin username & password they can correct it and enable the 'password reset' option. UPN Reconciliation is a nightmare - tried bulk upload every day for over a week. Error every day until today when it was accepted!! Just wait & see if new users acctually appear. Result - I actually got a member of the helpdesk to admit they had launched too early and were not prepared!! Like we didn't know that already!!!

Well, just wanted to say that once you've done UPN reconciliation make sure you save the report. If you want to add new student users you have to add them to that report with their DOB&UPN & then bulk upload your whole site population. If you try to upload just new students they assuume you are deleting all current users!!aggh!! Also thanks to the request to get email updates regarding support calls. For the first time today I got information via email to give me an idea as to how things were progressing. Personnally I an leaving 'enable' on the back burner. I have info that it'll all merege into one service eventually (end of the year) so kids will have 1 rather than multiple logins so certainly for primary that is going to be more managable. So much for an easy tranition eh! Linda

I have an epson projector which has suddenly (within a couple of days) started to project a very yellow image onto the whiteboard. I have cleaned all the external air filters & checked the bulb is ok too. I've also tweeked the colour settings in the image menu but nothing works. Any ideas? L

Sorry to mislead - it is a RM Classboard!! Well, glad to report that I've fixed it. I turned off the wireless link & it solved the problem. Then crossed everything and turned it back on and luckily it is all still working. Something was interferring and by powering down & up again it has cleared the issue!!! I'll know what to do next time! Linda

Definately not the pen - that works fine on other boards. Definately not configeration issue as laptop works with this and other boards on the other side of the school. Whole set up works fine on the other side of the school!! It has to be some sort of interference. I'm going to see if I can turn off the wireless broadband transmitter in the junior school and see if that stops the problem. At least that might identify the scource. If it is that then I really don't know what I am going to do as I can't leave that switched off all the time!

The board is an RM SmartBoard and it is all wired. USB from laptop to board controller and serial from laptop to projector. Any ideas?

Not sure - there is a wireless broadband link to the junior school nextdoor and the reciever is on that side of the building. Could that be it & if so what is the solution?

I have a whitebaord that is affected by interference form some external radio/microwave source. It works fine on one side of the school but move it to the other and the board cannot recognise the pen! I've lined the wall with foil & earthed the foil to try to disperse the interference and this has helped a bit but you still can't draw a line with the pen. Any ideas please???? L
