Yes! you have probbly got a corrupt local user profile, my guess if if you have imaged the machines then you may have it on all the machines you have imaged. Try using the userhive delete tools for xp clients (it a microsoft freebie). Or try copying a user profile from a machine you know works..

We host moodle for our course creation, and Joomla as our front end. Pupils/staff have OWA (again hosted on Exchange) and I have a great little ASP script that allows access to pupils/staff to home dirs... to allow downloading and uploading from across the net. Moodle uptake is really growing, thanks to our SLT and various other teaching staff really seeing the benefits, we have a VLE Co-ordinator (a maths teacher) who is leading the training for Moodle. I personally think if you have internal support, then go for your own internal solution, when the net has been playing up for us we are still able to send email and access our moodle courses. Setting up Moodle is fairly straight forward ( I have some notes if your interested) as long as you have a forward facing IP and have sorted out your domain name then you are already halfway there. I can see the benfits of capitas leraning gateway, but for me its too pricey and slow, my sons school use it and its never working properly..

Hi, I wrote a Kix Script\form some time ago whereby the teacher could select the room in which they wanted to turn the internet off and the script would, during logon check the computer name and state of a file and depending on whether the file existed or not it would overwrite the proxy settings with zeros. This worked great if the teacher remembered to disable the internet before lesson started. The problem was it would only work before the pupils logged on a the teacher/s had to remember to 'turn' the internet back on again, and it would not work if the pupil was already logged on. I did develop another script that removed access to the 'iexplore' exe whilst the pupil was logged on (the script would first kill the process) the problem was I only developed this for individual machines. I would personally recommend the AB Tutor control program, this does excatly what you want and more and I have to say it reletivley cheap (one teacher console for £120). Regards Steve.

Now the iMac seems to have a mind of its own, I can log off from an AD account and it refuses to logon to another. Ill try the first account and it refues, try another account and this time it will log me on. There doesn't seem to be any hard and fast rules. Has anybody out there had a similar issue. Hi, Did you ever resolve this problem, I am getting the same issue. I can login as one user on my imac (AD user). Try to login as a different user and no avail. Are there any fixes for this. Regards Steve
