  6. Hi we are after a new colour laser printer(networkable), but as usual we dont want to spend an awful lot of money, but the main think we want is for it to be cheap to run so maybe one where we cn get cheap replacement cartridges or toner. But also it will be used alot as it will be located in an office so no photos just documents really thanks in advance. we current used dell 3110cn they were cheap to buy but ink is nearly 300 for a set of 3 colour and 1 black
  7. Does anyone have any good music software that could be used in class or as revision?? It could be some that could be used on a interactive whiteboard or just on the network, ideally free but not fussed this is for ages 11-16 we just dont have hardly any software at all! thanks
  8. yea ive used it, it has a few good points with it being free etc, but id say its only good for a small network, we installed it on our sytem with over 600 machines but as mentioned it is slow, but its worth giving it go
  9. thanks for getting back to me we had citrix about 12 months ago, we initilaly had problems due to the printers not been turned on on the citrix console and we have corrected that! we have all networked printers where possible and they work great!! we have hp compac t5000 thin clients and there are several places where we cand upgrade the capacity anymore and they want a printer installed. The thinclient comes with printer drivers installed so in theory we assign the drivers on the thinclient in kiosk mode!but this does work so where abouts do i have to install the drivers and how to i assign the drivers to the printer?
  10. Hi all im really struggling getting any printer to work on a thin over citrix. no matter what i do it wont reconise the printer in a session. we have used different models of printer all with usb connection but have all failed Just wondered if anyone has any tips on helping me install printers Oh but when i connect into my sytem from outside the network and i have a printer plugged into my laptop at home the session finds my printer ok so how come the thin client cant find the printer?? do i have to install the driver somewhere??as ive been using the hp drivers that came with the terminal hope someone can help thank
  11. Hi we have recently installed a number of thin clients, that are running on cirtix over terminal services. But at present i have no software to manage these. On desktop machines i use netop! so can anyone point me in the right direction of what software i could possibly install (free would be great:) ) so that techers can see what thier pupils are doing and block internet and disable use of keyboards and louse when they are talking etc thanks in advance
