My name is Anthony Nneke, I am the Internal Schools Business Manager at Microsoft UK, Reading. I am currently writing a blog discussing what I think are the top 5 challenges that schools currently face and will face. I would really be interested to hear your views, whether you agree or whether there are points I have missed. Here are some of my points I have thus far. 1. Budget Cuts; 2.a, Knowing where to get advice from , 2.b, - due to NO BSF, Removal of LA Support, 2.c, -No BECTA support/guidance; so schools are possibly making decisions they have not had to make before. 3. Computer Science - ICT in the curriculum. 4. Devices -wanting to bring devices under pressure, from Parents, and senior leadership teams, pressure to attract kids to schools 5. How do schools provide anytime, anywhere learning ( Cloud Services). The aim of gaining your feedback is to ensure that I arrange the relevant webinars geared towards provide you with solutions to those challenges. Microsoft are committed to education and I am committed to ensuring this is realised in schools. Hi All, It's Edu Ant, please bare with me on this forum, as I have stated in previous threads, I want to really engage with schools and make a difference with the engagement and general perception you may have of Microsoft. I am currently planning a series of webinars which I hope will be of benefit to many of you. I have posted an earlier thread regarding top 5 challenges that you here may face in schools. I appreciate this may not be something you would wish to mention on line for viewing of others. However the purpose of this is really to ensure the webinar content is coherent to what is needed in schools. So I ask for those who have time to post, what would you like to see discussed. Once I have enough feedback from you all, I will endeavour to arrange a webinar discussing those topics. It may be a series of webinars throughout the year, I feel this will be something worthwhile, I will also endeavour to make you aware of any events that we are running that may cover some of the topics raised by you all. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. you can contact me directly at [email protected] or follow me on twitter @Anthonynneke alternatively you can connect with me on Linked In or call my office number 01189 094265 I guess I am saying please do not hesitate to contact me Kind Regards Anthony aka eduAnt

I personally am noticing more enquiry being made around compatibility with our products with a variety of smart phones. This places a big part in the any where any time access of documents and really resonates with students who currently access Facebook and personal mail on smart phones. I have seen this question raised with Live@edu and more recently Office 365. How long do you think before this becomes the norm and dare I say all kids have a smart phone or access to remote devices for the benefit of flexible learning and imaginative learning? What are your thoughts?

Hi All, My name is Anthony Nneke, I am the Internal Territory Manager for schools at Microsoft UK, Reading. I want to engage with you, and really really understand, where you envision your issues if any at all lying this academic year. What challenges are you currently managing that I could help with. I am planning to right a blog on this but what to hear more thoughts from the schools themselves. My question as the title suggest is simple, What are the challenges you face and can expect to face this academic year ? I have my own ideas, however I want to hear from you!!!! I want to ensure and grow our relationship that Microsoft has with schools in the UK. Kind Regards Anthony @Anthonynneke DD: 01189 094265
