  1. Thanks for your help chaps, but I ended up in the school the next morning and they still hadn't decided so I had to throw one together myself! That's the way it always works when you mention money - people sidestep out of the door or pretend to stare at the ceiling! :-D
  2. Thanks for the offer bladedanny, it was wonderful that you replied with a logo, however apart from the slight typo all I can say is WOW and look rather aghast at sysman's logo! That's amazing! Obviously there's a £25 fee so I'll have to contact the school and see how they'd go about paying... Brilliant work chaps!
  3. It's been a while since I had a 2003 / XP environment, but have you tried setting: Group Policy/Local Machine/Local Computer Policy/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment/Load and unload device drivers? Don'f forget a gpupdate on the XP machine once it's set, and a gpresult to check that it's applied :-)
  4. Hmmm... Are you running Server 2003 or 2008?
  5. Is there anything in particular in the event log on the XP machines? I know I had a similar issue and managed to script a tool to remove the old printer and driver, then reinstall it...
  6. I have a primary school who have just had the Ofsted call this morning, and are in the usual state of panic. Although they have nothing to worry about, especially on their ICT side, they've presented a Mission Statement for the school, in which is a new logo that they have, and Ofsted have already made reference to it in their pre-briefing. The problem is that they don't actually have the logo, only a design idea for one, and it's vague to say the least. Is there anyone on here that might be able to help, or does anyone know of a company that can throw something simple together at a low cost (I know they're very short of funding)? All I have is a scribble on paper (attached) and the idea that there should be an elliptical shape in the middle with the 'buzz words' around the outside. She was even vague on the colour, but may go for a purple of some shade! Thanks in advance, Gander
