Hi, Not sure if you refer to the cost of the above room or not but if you are, the PC's were also supplied for this class and the cost of the room was a lot less than £48k. Please let me know if you ever need an accrate quote subject to a 3D room plan being done for you. Regards, Steve

Hi, The passive cooler will have a longer life span than standard cooling as there are no moving parts to suffer wear, it is after all an aluminium block. We tend not to run above 50c but this would depend on processor of course and programme being used but that would be a max temp. It is also important that the correct case fans are used, something we have done, as well as ensuring they don't add unwanted noise. The sensors on the case fans monitor running temp and run accordingly dependant on usage, they will speed up or slow down as required. We are also about to launch an ultra low power PC in the coming weeks, something requested by a number of New Build projects. As many of the comments regarding i-desk state, we are constantly working with customers to develop and improve the product and many of the current designs have been created directly from customer input. Should you wish to know more regarding i-desk Solutions, please feel free to call me at any time and I will do all I can to assist you further and if I can't help, I'm sure our inventor Steve Brooks can. If you wish to speak to one of our 700 plus schools for a customer point of view, please let me know, I'd be more than happy to put you in contact with some. Hi, Interesting reading your post but thought I should add a reply. You are correct, there are a number of PC/desk solutions on the market but i-desk Solutions are the only company in the world to hold a patent for the cooling, cabling and connecting of the desks. You will see many copies of the i-desk out there but our customers are better placed to give honest feedback on how other such solutions stack up, they simply don't work as well as an i-desk nor do they last as long when looked after and properly maintained. Please contact the above posting from British-Wave who has three i-desk classrooms, pictures are on his feed or if you need to speak to another of our 600+ schools, please contact me direct and I'll put you in contact with a location local to you. Regarding the IT, i-desk build every PC in-house and fully support the PC with either an RTB or on-site warranty. Regarding pricing, I can assure you, long term cost of ownership with an i-desk is lower than any other solution and is fully upgradeable at any time but I'm more than happy to give you more details if you contact me direct. Hope I have been of help. Regards, Steve Morgan i-desk Solutions 01189 739 731

I've been reading these feeds with interest for the past few days and am grateful for both the positive and negative comments, I would, after all, be foolish to think we were perfect in every way! One thing that does come through clearly is the positives have names and locations, the negatives tend to be from people not so keen to give names or locations, possibly due to them either not having our product or maybe due to them working for another supplier! First of all, should any customer of i-desk Solutions not be happy with the product or service, I have always said they can come direct to me and I will always do my very best to resolve any issues they may have, starting with a visit by myself to their school. With regard to cost and spec of desk and PC, its very simple, the number of desks you buy and the spec of the PC dictates the cost, as it would with a desktop or laptop, the higher the volume, the lower the unit cost as with any IT procurement you may have. With regard to room design, we do our best to sit down with you and come up with a design that is both functional and practical for the use you may have for the room, including duel functionality with our i-rise solution. Cabling and cooling has been mentioned in these feeds, i-desk Solutions are the only company in the world to hold a patent for the design of their desks, which includes the way its cabled and cooled. It should also be noted that with around 600 schools having i-desk over the past 9 years, not one PC has been stolen from one of our desk, another part of the design patent. There are many desking solutions on the market but when you take time to look at each product for what it is and for what you get, if you do, it becomes clear that the i-desk Solution is in a league of its own. Please take time to look at some of the links that have been added by our customers, we also offer full project management as part of your order, its not an extra cost. Should any have a requirement for the future, please call me direct on 01189 739 731 or email me at [email protected] I will do all I can to help you. Should you have a complaint or issue with an i-desk, please use the same above contact details but I should point out that as of 10am this morning, we had no outstanding issues logged with our in house support team or our on-site service providers. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Regards, Steve Morgan i-desk Solutions

Hi, Thanks for your comments. I am sure the head of your school is happier knowing you take the time to contact us or CCE direct rather than post comments on the web and not contact us, CCE or me at all, after all it gets things moving forward much quicker. I wish everyone would see the most important thing is that we get everything working so we can ensure the highest number of students can learn, that is what we're all in this business for isn't it? Thanks again for the positive feed back. Regards, Steve

Thanks for your comments. To be very honest we have i-desk in almost 1000 locations around the UK with many of the original i-desk of years gone by now being upgraded. I was at The Meadows first school yesterday in Bromsgrove, they've had their i-desk for 5 years, they are used daily and have no problems. I delivered their upgrades yesterday, they could not have been happier with the product or services. It is unfortunate that we have problems from time to time but who doesn't but what I can do is assure anyone that if they contact me, I will resolve the issue. Thanks again.

I have been Operations Manager of i-desk solutions for just over a year. In the year I have been with the company we have gone through many changes, some have been very proactive with regard to product development and a few have not been as productive as we would have wished them to be. I take every customer we have have their comments very seriously, I want very much for our products and services to improve while it's within my control or ability to do so. I can only act upon customer issues if the customer comes to me, rather than posting comments on a website under a nickname. I think this site is an excellent idea, a great way to share ideas, experience and future aspirations and will ensure I take time to read as much as I can to improve the way we do things now and in the future. I am honest enough to agree fully that we have made some mistakes this year but the ones I am aware of we are correcting at our cost (as it should be) but there is also some instances of comments being posted that are not entirely true, so a little unfair in my view. We have hundreds of customers around the UK who are more than happy with the products and services of i-desk solutions, if they weren't we would not have been in business for so long. I am offering a free site visit to any of our customers, new or old, on the south coast, in the north west or even the far east who feels there is an issue to be resolved of a problem to fix. I am also happy to send one of our engineers to any location just to carry out an equipment service free of charge but I need you to let me know where you are and what you require me to do. I hope I have said enough to ensure both sides of a story are told but as I have said, if you let me know what the problem is, I will do what I can to address it, without delay. One question I will ask is, how many other companies have taken the time to register for this forum, admit mistakes have been made and offered to address them free of charge where required? I look forward to hearing from you soon. [email protected]
