  1. Have just inherited 60 laptops that didn't have VB for Applications installed with office. This causes problems with macro security when running Word. The simple fix is to install VBA on the machine however I cannot find any way of doing this without re-running the office installation program on each machine. An .msi would be much easier! Any ideas? Cheers
  2. Connect the server to the remote printer. Then add a local printer to the server but configure the port to the remote one. Then share this new printer on the network. Hey presto! Just not in this instance
  3. This one is baffling me! I have a colour photocopier connected via USB to an XP client. It has both the xp drivers and the server 2003 drivers (64bit) installed. The xp client is connected via wireless. I want to share this through the server (overcoming the 10 client limit). Now the server see and connects to the copier without a problem. But when I come to add a new printer on the server (to share with the other clients) the printer will install but it will not print. I have got this system working well in many other schools but never on a 64 bit server. I can only guess that that is at the heart of the problem. I have tried just about every possible combination of drivers, postscript, PCL 5c, PCL 6 etc with no joy at all. The server will print without a hitch to the copier but my "normal" way of sharing it just won't work. Any ideas? Thanks, Ian
  4. There will be 30 netbooks in the short term in a primary with 7 classrooms, staffroom, ppa room and a hall all covered. So thinking 10 APs and a switch.
  5. Hi Folks, About to install our first managed network and quite like the look of the Netgrear WFS709TP and wgl102s. But, had a play with a netgear n access point recently and it did seem quicker and have a better range than g. The netbooks we are buying all have n wireless on the. I cant find a netgear n managed solution, only g. I just like netgear stuff hence my research of their products. Does anybody do n managed systems yet and more to the point, has anybody used / able to recommend one? Many thanks, Ian
  6. Thanks Gonk, dropbox is a belting piece of kit
  7. I would use movie maker but xp wont recognise it without the drivers off the mythical disk. Yes please Gonk
  8. Sadly, v2 doesnt work with the v3 camera.
  9. Hi Folks, I have trawled and trawled the net, other schools and a rather nice LAs software database but am drawing a total blank on this one. We have the cameras but the disks have of course been misplaced. Any ideas anybody? I have found a retailler who will "sell" a cd for £20 Thanks
  10. The second confetti link is fine, just the idesk one is out. Nice suite BTW, I liked the staggered angles on the RHS
  11. Interesting, the link doesnt work but a google search brings up the same url? Is it all right your end? Could be the worlds most picky filtering system that I am behind, amazed I can access this place!
  12. Hi, Anybody have any pictures / info / suppliers of curving worktops for ICT suites please? After the kind of thing that curves in for each workstation. The head fancies a suite thats more internet cafe than boring IT suite! Many thanks, PTT
