  1. @TechSupp Sorry for the really late reply to this one, but the answer is YES. Our policy is "No LearnPad left behind" and we make sure every new release works with every LearnPad, including the 10" LearnPad 1. In some cases the older hardware or OS version won't support a particular feature, but it's rare. For instance, LP1 doesn't have a GPS for exact location reporting, but the location can still be guessed at from the network environment, so LP1 reports that instead.
  2. Yes, you can lock to a single activity like the web browser or a handful of related "research" applications. It works well on the Nexus 7 (I have one myself) and there are install instructions on the support pages so you can trial the full product before deciding.
  3. You should take a look at our Android tablet for schools LearnPad. It offers the enterprise-level control people have been requesting, but in a classroom friendly way. You can buy our tablets or just the software to install on your own tablets. We will be at BETT in January (Stand D95), where we are finalists in the Digital Devices category. Come and get hands-on with the tablets and the web-based management tools.
  4. @TechSupp We just launched LearnPad 2, which is a bit better than the one you saw at BETT: rear-facing camera, Android 4.0.3, HDMI output, IPS screen. We do have information about it on the website, but we seem to have done a good job of hiding it learnpad.co/support/features/learnpad2.cfm The web-based management system is also completely rewritten and is much simpler and more powerful. You can use it to send activities to all your LearnPads and to monitor things like battery charge levels. There's a contact form on the website if you want more specific information, and we will make the LearnPad 2 information a bit more prominent for future visitors.
