Hi Guys,
I am new here and think the forum is great. You have helped me out many times in the past, so I wonder if you can help me along with this.
We have over 300 laptops in school and we require them to shutdown when they are placed on charge back in the cabinets. I have set up a GPO to shutdown when the lid is closed and plugged in but this doesn't work. It seems to only trigger a shutdown when it has been plugged in and then the lid closed not if the lid is closed prior to being plugged in.
I then decided to take a look at 'task scheduler' to trigger a task at disconnection of a user session with connection from local computer option chosen. The task would start 'shutdown /s /f' with the condition that the computer is on AC power. This task has a delay of 2 minutes. So far I have been unable to get this to work with or without AC plugged in.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Leon
