  1. At first I did manual updates through the Windows update site, until moving all to WSUS later. I generally did them all, just ignoring drivers and SQL service packs. All done during the holidays/half-terms etc just to be careful!
  2. Ah sorry didn't follow properly, the only service I know about is the RMC3I one and I think a RM location services? Reboot the server? heh
  3. For the record we went with Overt, also recommended on the champions network - going well so far!
  4. RM uses a msi app I think to map user drives, if you look in the User config and general, post-login tasks there's a tick box for mapped drives and printer delivery When setting up a printer allocation script to run under RM I had to add the script into the allowed of the software restriction policy if that helps .. !
  5. I'd love to hear how you get on! Been looking into this for general user management but not found anyone else who uses it yet!
  6. I did have a batch of PC's do this, I figured it was the NIC's taking a little too long to negotiate. Do you have C:\RM\Install on the PC? There's a vbs file, makecc.vbs something like that - run it and see if that works? I've got a few machines I have to bump along like this now ...
  7. Hmm, I've been using WSUS to update CC3 workstations, member servers and CC3 DC's for a couple of years now. The only thing I found was the RM Password Manager software only works with .NET version 2. Generally it's all working well though, planning on finally replacing with some new DC's this summer though
  8. Thanks everyone this is great, we'll get in touch with them
  9. Hello EduGeek We have previously used a support company for occasional Moodle-hours, using 5-10 hours of support a year for odds and ends such as fixing Moodle backup problems, helping upgrade and helping with minor design tweaks. Nothing too major but a nice safety net and assistance. Unfortunately we've just been told they won't support our own servers and will only support if we move to their (expensive) cloud based solution. Can anyone recommend a new Moodle support company? Many thanks for your help, Tom
  10. Oh we used to have those B500, such a pain they were - the network cards seemed to fry for some strange reason, we got through about 5 of them. We use HP 2600,3600 laserjets for Art and Photography who need A3 use a Sharp MX that's on rental. If they want better quality they are kindly pointed towards Jessops...
